Doesn't help when you don't promote any of those teams or the competition in which they competed in. Will be largely the same in this instance if RA opts to do the same. People will note money but this will be post Lions. Things on the financial side will be less perilous and we should have a...

The only conceivable way to increase the standard of the Shute Shield or any premier club competition is money. More of it. But even if the Lions/RWC and Nations Championship manages to dig us out of our current situation and put us in a solid financial position I still don't want any of that...

I understand the short window but I still think that if it's going to be devoid of Wallabies or Aus XV players and no Melbourne based squad then there should also be rep squads from each of the Brisbane and Sydney comps involved. Would be a good way of seeing players on the bubble and how they...

    Bristol is a solid call.

    Super Rugby Pacific 2025

It's Wales. They've never had good crowds. Last weekend they got 81k to Croke Park for the Leinster/Munster game and 18k in Belfast (capacity) for Ulster/Connacht.

You've got to have your priorities.

    Super Rugby Pacific 2025

May be SRP (Super Rugby Pacific) should get in contact with the marketing team behind the URC. Their viewership is up 10% across the first four rounds compared to last season.

Wouldn't move to England. Certainly not any of the major centres at least. And even then. Driving on some of those country roads can be perilous at times. Was in Wiltshire and Somerset in September and while it was lovely it is also very lacking.

Doesn't really apply to personal tax.

To be fair, if I were to live in another country other than Australia. It would probably be Ireland. That might have something to do with my dual citizenship and regular visits.

    Waratahs 2025

I completely missed that. But to be fair I've been up since 4am and operating in about 3 hours sleep so things are not exactly registering at the moment. That said, the Tahs actually were among the first to start playing Japanese teams. They actually would play games during the June Test window.

    Waratahs 2025

The Reds will be playing the Wild Knights in November. How does this differ?

Age has little to do with it. I actually played for a Shute club and the crowds are not there.

That's actually pretty close to my thinking on it. Run it alongside the U16/19s. Would be good for the young guys to see the pathway in action.

All of the fringe/non Wallaby Tahs play in the Shute Shield now and their presence has little effect. Have had Wallabies play and they don't draw in crowds. One player here and there isn't going to change much. You said you barely watch any prem Rugby. Well I do watch it and the crowds aren't...

The Tahs averaged over 12k a game last season. As someone who has been involved in club rugby and as someone that still tunes in on a regular basis you could likely combine all of the crowds most every week with the exception of the Manly/Warringah derby which would draw between 6-8k at most...

That's the point. Who else is left? Let's see if anyone puts their hands up. As for funding. Rep squads are about opportunity. So contracting won't be needed. It's an existing player pool so they are local so no need to import players. Coaching would also be sourced from the clubs. The clubs...

Could do it as the 4 SRP (Super Rugby Pacific) franchises and allow for the Sydney and Brisbane clubs to enter a rep squad each.

This won't happen until some time next year. After the Lions series. They'll also have more of an idea of what the situation with the Nations Championship in terms of financials. Could be doable. Just not at the moment.
