I'm not going home until this cracks the ton....

    Kurtley Beale

How did the information about the text messages come to light? Did Patston tell Link or another senior manager once she was back in Australia? Did the senior players tell McKenzie when they were putting their case for keeping Beale in Argentina? Either way, I don't think Patston has done...

    Kurtley Beale

There is a need for GAGR's to decide where they're going to hang their hat..... That's better. Tinfoil hat. Better still.

    Wallabies v All Blacks @ Suncorp - 18/10/14

The Wallaby issues are not personnel. It's HOW they're playing with each other. The team culture and level of co-ordination among the players that is the problem. . I think the gameplan has some holes in it, To'omua is playing under coaches orders and is starting to look pedestrian. He is...

    Kurtley Beale

Fair call. Is it time for a poll? 1. What was said? 2. Who has transgressed the least / most? 3. What will be the punishment? 4. Who is going to take the rap? I think the GAGR's need to decide where they are going to hang their hat.

    Kurtley Beale

I find this thread disturbing. My preferred outcome for all of this is that no-one loses their jobs and no-one is hung out to dry. The longer the banter goes (35 pages and counting) the less likely it is that the ARU can simply dismiss the issue as a run of the mill disagreement between 2...

    Wallabies v All Blacks @ Suncorp - 18/10/14

Just reflecting on the Concussion discussion I have a question. Does anyone know how many No 12's we have lost out of the Wallabies starting lineup due to injury in the last 10 years? I can think of at least the following; Barnes Flatley McCabe Horne? ( shoulder ) Faiinga (?) Taps (?) Fairbanks...

    G&GR MOM - Argentina v Australia, Mendoza 4/10/14

Hard one. We were beaten in the forwards but the backs did nothing. Early scrums were good and early lineout work. 3. Horwill 2. Slipper 1. TK I wish the gameplan would change, there is no merit in being the team that tops the tackle count each week.

    Argentina v Australia, Mendoza 4/10/14

Thinking about Matt Rowleys analysis in WTF happened part 2. Comment was made that the wallabies are not committing many players to the breakdown. This tactic would have been analysed by opponents and they would respond by keeping players out in the defensive line. Therefore, is there not an...

    Argentina v Australia, Mendoza 4/10/14

Carter, Hooper and Fardy all played 80 mins last week. I would expect each of them to have quiet patches this week. If the 6 reserve forwards make the field then the 2 freshest starting players in the forwards would be Horwill and Higgers. I'd sit Higgers down and get him onto GAGR to read all...

    Argentina v Australia, Mendoza 4/10/14

I want to see a big game from Higgers. He needs a game like Fardy pulled out of the bag last week. Dominance and workrate in both attack and defense.

    Kurtley Beale

I haven't previously commented as there haven't been enough facts to warrant the speculation. There still aren't. Does anyone know what was said? Was Kurtley sarcastic comment a personal attack on Di Patston? Or was it a comment on the role she was performing which seemed to be standards bearer...

Springboks vs Wallabies @ Newlands 27/9/2014

Good luck to the Bokke this weekend. Someone has to beat the AB's. If the Bokke don't do it at home then we are all looking bad for the world cup next year. I'm off to the Argentina thread.

I think what viewers were looking for was a big hit or a big cleanout or any other momentum swinging defensive play. As he is not that type of player then it was always going to be unlikely. I would have preferred to see the same from Higgenbottom but we didn't get that either.

Springboks vs Wallabies @ Newlands 27/9/2014

Ok fair point. Given To'omua is out. Who would you pick in the backline? I previously thought that AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) had done enough in 13 for him to lock up the position. I do agree that you cannot simply shift players around hence the third part of my post which raises the concept of TK being different...

Springboks vs Wallabies @ Newlands 27/9/2014

I would go with Bob's idea; 9 Phipps 10 Foley 12 TK 13 AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) Back 3 Tomane, Beale, Izzy If Beale runs crossfield he will go into touch or if he goes the other way he will link up with Hooper / Fardy / Slipper / Higgers. This selection would change the structure as TK would be running holes and...
