Springboks vs Wallabies @ Newlands 27/9/2014

We had no points in us from the 30 min mark Couldn't create any pressure. No kick pressure. No set piece pressure. No scoreboard pressure. No attack pressure. Defense pressure was nullified by penalties and began to diminish in the last 15min.

We didn't deserve it. Couldn't control the ball. Bok defense was strong and accurate. I give MOM to Strauss.

Australia Vs Argentina, September 13, Gold Coast

Have you got any information on Sam? Is he fully fit? (how's his ankle?) Is he happy with how he is playing? What specific role does link have him playing? Does he wear lucky red underpants for his test matches? Did you give him any to start wearing? Who's his strongest opponent in the NRC?

    Australia v South Africa - Perth - 6 September 2014

Back on page 17 of this thread (don't ask why) I uncovered this gem from barbarian. This was posted pre the Springbok test. While I don't agree 100% about Skelton (gives away too much in the set piece) I think the setiment for Simmons is spot on.

Seeing as we are looking at Stats. Has anyone assessed these involvements for dominance? If we are looking for impact then we need some dominance (like Vermulen) in the involvements.

The issue has to do with the process. Do you give the incumbents a chance to reach their potential or do you chop and change the personell hoping for a player to make an immediate impact. Injury (to MCCabe) has dealt AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) a dud hand whilst injury to Palu has possibly saved Carter or Simmons...

Australia Vs Argentina, September 13, Gold Coast

Further to my previous comment I highlight the plight of AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper). He is given the OC role with White and Beale inside him for Bled II at Eden Park. Because of injuries to McCabe and a poor showing by the wingers he is shifted from his position. Was this a promotion? not likely. Was it a demotion...

Australia Vs Argentina, September 13, Gold Coast

The teamwork in Eden Park was woeful. The tactics for the first 3/4 of the game in Perth were bac k to the gameplan v's France II. The team hasn't really been coached to a good Aussie performance. The gameplan and the lack of cohesion have limited the ability of the individuals to reach their...

Good ideas. Solid thinking. The injury to Palu creates the opportunity.
