The scrum. You know you love it.

Brian Moore wrote a great guide to how he thought the scrum should be reffed here https://forum.rugbyrefs.com/index.php?threads/managing-the-scrum.10311/ It's a bit out of date with law changes etc, but dramatically improved my understanding of the scr when I read it all those years ago

Fun game live. There were some very tense kiwis there in the last 10. Always grating to hear the All Black chant break out, but such is rugby life here

Eastern stand pretty full. Top level of western pretty empty. I reckon 70,000 in 50/50 gold/black

Would she be taking a pay cut to do this?

    Club Season Length

NRL and AFL are playing a different game obviously, but around me it's a ground hire thing. End of August is when the changeover happens, and winter sport leases ends Winter Sports facilities have been pulled down and cricket has started

It sounds like Gordon, and perhaps others like Donaldson, got ill on the journey home

He has had opportunity to press for a starting role but keeps coming on and immediately making errors (kicking out on the full, stepping on the line while clearing a ruck etc) His pass gets a lot of criticism, and I think it's deserved. Have a look at just how many forwards are charging at the...

It's simpler than that. The French clubs don't pay their salary for the period that they go on international duty. With Australian match payments offering some kind compensation, it makes some kind of sense to think about playing. For the Fijians it's just money lost.

Baxter's career lined up almost perfectly with the "scrum hit"'s existence. It would be interesting to see how he went under today's more genteel scrum engagement laws

The organisation that also owns the Brumbies now? Sorry

Do the players have to do medical assessments etc when they sign a contract? I wonder how insurance works for a "pre-existing" condition like this would be for the next contract?

    Wallabies 2024

Liam Wright targetting the November Tests for a return after shoulder injury and bicep surgery (although it sounds like that might be hopeful, rather than definitive)...

What's a return to play timeline for a Patella tendon rupture? A quick google suggests 12 months at least before back to pre-injury level, which would wipe him out for most of next Super Rugby year. That's a tough contract to put together

C'mon Christy we are desperate for a team leak or something here.

    Waratahs 2025

Edmed was at 83% this Super Rugby season, just below Lolesio (85%). Those two were pretty clearly the best goal kickers domestically this year

The announced dates don't quite work, but I wonder if the 2028 gap leaves room for the proposed club world cup? https://www.espn.com.au/rugby/story/_/id/39905136/rugby-club-world-cup-set-launched-2028-sources
