If Grealy & Petaia are gone, who is our back up 15 at the moment? Aubrey? Maybe McLaughlin-Phillips? Did Anderson play some 15?

Don’t think any of Daugunu, Vunivalu or Ryan would be a fit there at the moment, nor Paisami, Henry of Flook. (Maybe Flook could).

Am I missing someone?

Gordon has more recent Super experience than Deegan and given he can cover 15 and doesn’t have a contract at the moment I’d assume wouldn’t be too expensive.

I think Daugunu would not be the worst option as a backup to a backup. He can kick better than some posters on the Wallabies thread would admit and is genuinely quite intuitive these days. Agree we need to bolster 15 though.

Re the Reds in very early 2025: anyone going on the organised tour of England and Ireland?

One of my few regrets is not having managed a tour following the Reds in South Africa. My cash doesn't extend to Europe these days.

Aubrey is the most natural Fullback although it's yet to be seen if he's up to Super Rugby yet. At 21 that might be harsh but it's time to see and he should start dominating 1st grade games if he is.

^^ Building on the above, i'd have the following as the priority for retention/recruitment(besides the obvious Petaia):
- John Byrant
- Tim Ryan
- Frankie Goldsbrough
- Mason Gordon
- Richie Asiata

Nice to have:
- Max Craig
- Trevor King
- Taine Roiri
- Isaac Henry
- Floyd Aubrey

So many off contract after next season. 21 out of 28 players. I think the championship window is opening for us that’s how much faith I have in the current squad and staff but it could be closing soon too.

I'd prioritise Dre Pakeho over Frankie and Mason

De Lutiis would be a priority for me. Toomaga-Allen will almost certainly be gone after this year I assume and Fa’agase is only on a 1 yr extension too.

Edit: And Werchon too.

Hooker position is priority signing. Whenever they do road games they usually take 3 (in case backup is injured)

I have seen anything reported one way or the other on Gordon yet, but he seems very much in the frame based on the Wales/Tonga games. Have you heard they're not interested?
Horan said it on rugby heaven when asked about their playmakers and being in a hard position without JOC (James O'Connor) - leaning on the still very green lynagh and HMP, with creighton gone - Mason not being courted - surely they must be looking for another option........etc
