Gee when is the last time Taniela Tupou played club rugby? Last time I can remember was versus Wests back in 2017. Guess it might be his last time in QPR if he’s heading down to Sydney next year and offshore beyond.

huge addition for the filth tomorrow!

Not sure if this is an indicator of another Melbourne rebels player switching to league but Glen Vaihu played for souths logan last week in the BRL comp.

removing a super rugby team and having no national club comp or NRC style competition for 3rd tier development is only going to drive the fringe Matchday 23 players closer to league.

as others have pointed out… with nrl expanding to 20 teams sooner rather than later our professional rugby players are more suspect to being depth in the NRL to prop up these new expansion teams with no players of their own.

For those capable of playing both, it's silly to not take the more numerous and straight forward opportunities for payment league offers.

Even if you're a goldenboy prodigy that went to the right schools and followed the right pathways, you can pull a Sua'ali'i and start in league and then wait for RA to drop a massive offer in your letterbox.

I missed most club rugby this weekend due to other commitments.

Wests smoked Brothers at Crosby - how did Taniela play? Mustn't have had much impact. The Wests backline is pretty deadly. GPS really needed Brothers to knock Wests off.

Cracking finish to the season coming. You would think Brothers will wrap up the minor premiership against Norths this weekend but the race for 2nd place and potentially GPS sneaking into finals is going to be red hot. GPS with the BYE this weekend - is that auto 5pts still?

Assuming Brothers have 1st spot locked down after this weekend coming, it may benefit GPS who could play a Brothers team in the final round with a number of key players rested for finals.

You don't get any points for the bye. GPS are on 45 and Souths are on 50. The best that GPS can do is 50 points if they were to beat Brothers with a bonus point. If Souths were to lose both games against Bond & Wests with no loosing bonus points or four tries bonus points, they would remain on 50 and it would come down to points for and against(I think).

GPS are gone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - but you hold onto your dreams - Brothers have a significant injury toll through 1s and 2s - they wont be resting anyone

For a moment I thought that your GPS may still have a chance because the QPR Competition Rules determine ladder positions for teams finishing on equal competition points by firstly looking at total wins for the season. If Souths lose both games and GPS win v Brothers then both would finish with 9 wins for the season, so it would still go to for and against.
Souths have a 17 point advantage over GPS at the moment and depending on their game v Bond this could extend. It may however decrease and depending upon the Souths v Wests result, the margin could be greater or closer. GPS just has to beat Brothers and let the chips fall where they may.

I hear that there were a few at Bottomley on Saturday who think Murphy left a few scrum penalties out on David Wilson Field.
The Easts Ladies day marquee were also up in arms over what they believe was a foot in touch call (no-call rather) in the lead up to a try by Bond.
My missus was enjoying the Tiger hospitality on Saturday.

Will we see the Reds straight back into clubland or will they take their two weeks annual leave and back into finals?

I would assume the 3 x Brothers players plucked from QPR would be back, but the contracted players surely deserve a bit of down time.

i suspect a wallaby squad announcement is imminent, however with the first test of the TRC being in Brisbane. Reds based wallabies should be available for selection this week (guessing theres going to be no Fraser or Tate)

made a comment yesterday about a colts playing breaking his neck due to an illegal spear tackle and questioned anyone if they knew the legal ramifications if any due to this incident.

Comment has since been deleted with no reason.

Whats so offensive about that.
