According to the following vid, league's next expansion team will be Perth. What affect this will have no idea.

Was it the same under Tim Samson?
Yes - these were their transfers from 2021-2022

I thought this massive cleanout was because the Force were no longer allowed to have so many international players on the books?

When brought back into Super Rugby AU weren't they given a dispensation to have more internationally capped players in their roster than other teams to ensure they were competitive? Based on the above it looks like they mostly cleared out those guys and brought in more Aussies.

Which is good, especially now we only have 4 teams, there is no real excuse for the immense amount of non- wallaby players on the Force

Agreed. My point though is people are comparing them losing so many players after 2024 season to the above, but my understanding there was a specific reason the big 2021 clear out happened. I don't think high turnover of players is necessarily a good thing if it's happening regularly and without reason.

It's starting to look like a strong front row group at the Force - Robertson, Hoopert, Johnson-Homes, Paenga-Amosa, Dolly and Horton with rumours Pone Fa'amausili is in talks and some good young talent coming throuh in Pearce.

Only issue with that will be getting them all on the park - Robertson, Hoopert and Johnson-Holmes have all had significant injury layoffs recently.

Pugh asked for release to go to Japan pre-season 2024.
Cummins was released during 2024 to go to France to ensure more game time.
Coxon, Funnell and Naiyaravoro were 2024 injury covers.
Spink back home as only became available after WASPS went broke.
Parata may with Tasman only for the 2024 NPC (unsure of status).
Wells retired from playing.
Unsure of exact influence re OS player restrictions.
That leaves 8 players who were not (for various reasons) contracted for 2025.

Not sure about that. Looks like the Reds are where are a lot of the talent is going? So much for the so called ‘Centralisation’. The Force will have the weakest roster it seems… Tahs will get the rest of the Rebels. Brumbies still strong.

Then the Force should target young talent in QLD that will now potentially feel blocked with the depth at the Reds
