The force like to make out like they are short on talent, but the reason the backline is so shit is because they have let Holmes and Swanepoel go and turner and godwin are yet to make the step up.
If they could get those 4 together, along with sias and another halfback - then that is 6 decent enough inside backs. From there a couple of those players will establish themselves.
I understand swanepoel has now fucked his visa up by playing a season with canterbury, so this is not a realistic proposition, but still.
Cummins, Mafi, toupou, wara and dellit are all decent enough squad players. I think they should give holmes (the scrumhalf) a run at 12 before the seasons out to see how he performs.
The brumbies are the perfect example of how to turn your team around. They didn't sign stars, instead they went after solid players with potential and a coaching team that can guide the players to the promised land.
