How appropriate, the game ended on a knock on, crap skill levels shown by both teams really, and was almost a relief to see game put out of ot's misery!!

Although in the first half I thought that the Rebels skills were pretty good. Executed the basics and kept the tempo of the game up. For some inexplicable reason, they came out in the second half and tried to slow the game down. The McGahan half time talk should basically have been one sentence 'keep doing what we're doing'. Why they didn't is a mystery.

Alarm bells have been ringing for the Waratahs since the trials. There has been no appreciable improvement in any aspect of our game - in fact we've regressed in a couple of areas.

The only saving grace today was that arch Waratah hater Rod Kafer wasn't in commentary to make snide comments.

Well done to the Rebels, clearly the better team, but they really have to learn not to put up the shutters with a lead. The Tahs should never have been anywhere near that. It's a pattern with the Rebels too. The decent footy they played was almost undone by the safety-first approach characteristic of McGahan. In fact most Aus teams do this, except the Tahs these days (because they are always chasing a monstrous lead!) and it needs to change.

Rebels changed their style played attacking in first 45 or 50 mins. Should have finished Tahs off especially when Crawford was bundled into touch. Then Rebels went all defensive to try to hang on and almost blew it.

Agree that Lees is terrible too seems to miss the bleeding obvious. But was bad for both sides at least that is one thing.

Whispers doing the facebook, email, and social media rounds that Rod Kafer is leading a consortia to sending letters to try and sign up NSW colts players to a private academy with all the usual promises of future glory. Must be hard to "hate" NSW when you are spruiking your ability to turn aspirational NSW players into pros.

Apparently there has not been many sign on for Kafe's Academy.
