Stream was difficult to watch but towards the end the Tahs scrum struggled.
Yep, they held their own early but fell away, pretty much the same assessment for the team. With the glitchy stream and the commentators preferring to talk about their social life rather than the game it was almost impossible to work out who was on or off when we played well/poorly

With Curtis Rona, Adam Ashley-Cooper and even Karmichael Hunt shaping up as competition for the NSW outside centre role
The Hurricanes were really punished by the top teams in Super Rugby last year when they played Jordie Barrett at 13. I get that you want to fit talent in, but I hope that Hunt isn't considered for the 13 role. It's bad for the Tahs if they end up in the finals again, and it's bad for the Wallabies if one of our four Super 13s is a player out of position (exasibated by the Rebels planning to have Hodge at 13 this season, too).

Hodge has played a fair number of international games at 13 now, surely he's considered a 13 by Super standards? Have a feeling Hodge will always be a jack of all trades master of none.

I agree with Hunt though. Rona and Foketi should fight it out for 13.

Agreed on Hodge. He could end up in a JOC (James O'Connor) style situation.

I think 13's such a specialist position that it's not enough to have some experience out of position. 13s who can play elsewhere are 13s first and foremost.

Surely then Hunt at 12 as a second 5/8. Beal at 15. Rona or Foketi at 13. Works for me. But I don't think Hunt would perform badly at 13 either.

Yeah, looks good to me. With no big T we can try and rely on Izzy to be our strike winger. Hunt & Rona/Foketi should be much tighter defensively. Beale can do his nippy crabby shit from the back.

I'd prefer to see Hunt at fullback again and keep Beale at 12, but honestly it can be horses-for-courses style selection. Love the idea of seeing Folau play a season on the wing.

I think Hunt naturally positioned at 12, less so 13. But he does seem to prefer being stationed at 15.

There are plenty of options here for the Tahs especially when rotating WBs. Guys like Foketi simply add to a picture of strength.

A lot of the selections really depend on what sort of game plan the Tahs go with. Last year we played out the back a lot and got away with it because we had a tank on the left wing who got over the advantage line every time. If we play more direct this year then I can’t see Beale at 12. I think Beale does his best work playing one inside a guy like Folau and exploiting the space Izzy creates. Hunt is more suited to crashing it up and distributing when needed.

I'd love to see Rona on the wing again, but it feels very dependent on Foketi doing well enough to claim the starting 13 jersey. I thought he was good enough last year, before Rona went on his tremendous run of form. We'll see if a year has helped him or hindered.

The reason why I want Beale at 12 is because Foley is much better with another playmaker.

Just looked for Tickets to the opening game at Brookvale. Appears there is only General admission tickets available. No grandstand seating available.

Does anyone know if they will release any seating in the stands or is it all allocated for corporate?

Its Brookie, don't they just open the gates and you all pile in?

I assume all members are in the same boat as me and have been told that we'll not receive our members packs before Game 1 and would receive and email with print-at-home tickets for Brookvale so assume they're still trying to work out things like seating :)
