I would be willing to be the unpaid intern coach, but the team will have to fit their training schedule around my regular job.
I don't know a lot about Michael Hodge, but Peter Betham is only 23.
He has looked really big and fast in the ITM Cup and has scored a few tries in the first few rounds and made plenty of breaks.
I think he is a good option to have in the squad.
There are only so many 18-20 year olds who are immediately ready for Super Rugby. Most players take some time to develop.

Betham just scored a super rugby try.
He had another great game. His defence is one area that I'm a little apprehensive about. He goes quite high in the tackle to wrap the ball up. A strong runner can break away. I thought he tackled well tonight in fact he seemed to be everywhere.Betham just scored a super try.
Also he will have experience playing under the new laws, surely that is worth something? He has looked really big and fast in the ITM Cup and has scored a few tries in the first few rounds and made plenty of breaks.
Not really, players switch codes and seem to cope quite well. Also he will have experience playing under the new laws, surely that is worth something?
THE Waratahs will announce their coach next week but will start the 2013 season without a foreign marquee star.
After suffering a huge injury toll in the last two seasons, the Tahs may use the marquee slot mid-year if again impacted in a certain position.
The Waratahs' six-week search to replace head coach Michael Foley appears close to being resolved.
It is understood a decision will be announced next week, with Michael Cheika, Tim Lane and current interim coach Allan Gaffney the three candidates.
The Tahs have only two vacancies left in their 30-man squad for next season. They are looking for a lock to replace Dan Vickerman, and another flanker/lock forward.
I think I read Holloway will be EPS so who should we be looking for to fill a lock spot and backrower spot?

Michael Cheika ... has always been more interested in the Waratahs, which is not surprising considering his strong links with Sydney football. Photo: Getty ImagesMICHAEL CHEIKA has re-established himself as favourite for the Waratahs' head coaching job.The Herald has been told that Waratahs officials have informed several coaching candidates they have missed out. But there remains strong interest in Cheika, who was recently involved with Stade Francais. An announcement is expected within the next week.It is understood Cheika impressed members of the Waratahs' appointment panel in a recent interview. He had travelled from Paris to Sydney for the meeting.Cheika emphasised the importance of being given time to create success at the Waratahs, and then to build on it to ensure a boost in interest in the team in NSW. With it would come a dramatic rise in home crowd attendances, which would improve the Waratahs' finances. Cheika could even be offered a lengthy Waratahs contract. While Cheika was connected to the Western Force coaching position, to the extent he had talks with the province's officials, he has always been more interested in the Waratahs, which is not surprising considering his strong links with Sydney football. He also believes the Waratahs have potential, despite their collapse from being a semi-finalist last year to eleventh spot this season.Cheika is well aware of the talent within Australia's largest rugby province, which for many seasons has lost most of its best players to the four other local Australian franchises. After he knocked back the Force, the offer went to Michael Foley, who opted to defect from the Waratahs to go to Perth.Former Waratahs team manager Chris Webb is also likely to be part of the Force's management next year.If Cheika agrees to terms with the Waratahs, this will lead to a dramatic change in atmosphere at Moore Park. Cheika does not suffer fools, and demands excellence from those around him.A long list of candidates has been connected to the Waratahs head coaching job, but Cheika's name has been discussed at the team headquarters for many months, with many influential NSW rugby figures believing he is the man who can revitalise the Waratahs brand.

Regarding to some of the Waratahs recruitment, does anyone here actually think that Michael Hodge will turn out to be a decent Super level rugby player. In my opinion he just doesn't have the speed or attributes to turn into anything more than a below average player- he's a solid shield player but I'm not sure if he has what it takes to make any meaningful impact. Betham is pretty lucky as well, how many super squads does he have to be shifted from before the Tahs realise it might be worth heading in another direction.
I think he is a better addition to the side than Nathan Tryst was this season. He was barely seen.Regarding to some of the Waratahs recruitment, does anyone here actually think that Michael Hodge will turn out to be a decent Super level rugby player.
