maybe a bit unfair to say Moggs finished. his form has been patchy this year. He did outplay Folau in the early rounds. He's outside the squad at the moment, but i wouldn't be surprised if he became a great test player in the next few years. I've never been the biggest fan but he certainly has all the tools.

The early rounds where he scored 7 tries in 4 games?

How's Folau on both feet?

A good point. I wouldn't say that he's all that good on either.
He has other attributes that Mogg does not.
It would be interesting - if we could match the kiwis up front - to see the extent to which that limitation in Folau's game could cost us. Presently its about a 3rd order issue.

No because his other attributes mean that you can't pin him

So does Mogg.........

But despite those attributes, including an excellent kicking game, he's apparently "finished" because it doesn't include his right foot?

Mogg has his issues (defence, physicality, pressure), but let's not invent new ones............

His excellent kicking game is his only real test quality attribute.
The stormers(?) (edit: Sharks) pinned him on his right side of the field. His left foot kick was negated and his attempts to run it out onto his left foot were not effective - probably because of the issues you list: Jake did a number on him, sorry to say.
If a S15 team can do that to you almost any test team will.
And if you think its cos I have a Tah as one of my icons check my other posts: I'm their biggest critic.

Mogg is so far from being finito. His raking kick is one of the most unique weapons in Australian rugby.

He also has electric pace, and no matter how much money Donald Trump payed, Jesse would still be faster.

No need, they're enough. For Test match footy. Folau has proved his mettle in that arena. Mogg has not had the chance yet, or has he? If Mogg shows he can improve those areas, I'd agree he has the potential to be a great Test player.
Some players are good Super players who can't make the next step so well. Still better than all of us, mind you.

I think we'll see minimal changes from the team on the EOYT.........

9. White
10. Cooper
11. Cummins
12. To'omua
13. Kuridrani
14. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)
15. Folau

Cooper is lucky To'omua was a revelation at 12 last year, or he'd be goooooooooone.........

I don't argue regarding the potential for Mogg, but he has some work to do.

As for his kicking game I would hope that if he is picked on this basis it is better used than the same skills of a former Brumby, Mark Gerrard.

I am still mystified today why Deans went to the 2011 RWC with a conservative game plan not unlike the Brumbies plan today but failed to selected the best Australian kicker of the day.

I hope he fixes his defensive issues because I would love a backline of Mogg, Folau and a winger like Speight or Cummins. A great balance of skills, very similar to the best backlines Australia has fielded with two fullbacks and a specialist hard running fast winger.

think:- Roebuck, Campo, Edgerton and Burke/Latham, Roff, Tune

why on earth u would ever move Folau from the back is beyond me. I wouldnt move him for a vintage latham, burke (greats) let alone Mogg

Really? Different times but Burke, Latham and IMO Roebuck are greats at 15 for a reason. Folau is good and has the ability to be as good but until he strings together 4 or 5 seasons as good as last year he he remains a bit of an unknown, unlike the consistent performances at exceptional levels like the greats mentioned. I would have Folau do not get me wrong, but he would take a wing and the others would have the 15.

Wasnt suggesting that he has done as much as those mentioned but he imo has the ability to surpass them based on what he has done in such little time.
