Not enough brumbies.

I sincerely apologise. Of course, I meant to write:
Sio, Moore, Alexander, Fardy, Carter, Mowen, Pocock, Butler, White, To'omua, Tomane, Lealiifano, Kuridrani, Speight, Mogg

And my bench, of course, is meant to be:
Siliva, R. Smith, Murphy, Whetton, Smiler, Hoffman, Coleman, McCabe

I mean, I'm not even sure R. Smith, Murphy or Hoffman are eligible, but DAMN IT I AM A BRUMBIES SUPPORTER AND I WILL PICK BRUMBIES FOR NO REASON OTHER THAN THEY ARE BRUMBIES.

But just for you, my friend, just for you, I have picked some non-Brumbies. It is very perceptive of you to see that this was to hide my bias.

That's what I thought you meant to write.

Aside from the fact that he is playing overseas, I think it needs to be considered that he produced arguably career best form in 2013. I'd say that he was probably better in 2013 than in 2009 when he earned his two Wallaby caps.

What's to say he can replicate that form if and when he returns to Australia?

I agree with pretty much all you've said here about MMM and the makeup of the bench with a 5-3 split. Kimlin in 2013 was at the top of his form as exemplified in the Brumbies' win over the Lions, while in 2009 he was just starting out, showing his potential which unfortunately was then interrupted by injury over a couple of seasons. Unlike MMM, if he remains injury free, he will probably come back as good as he showed he was last year. As he won't be back in 2014, I think Luke Jones is the next best utility player in these positions and won't be at all surprised if he gets a run off the bench during the mid year tests if Link decides to go for utility value. Otherwise, Auelua would be my pick as specialist No8 to cover Higgers/Palu if either/boyh get injured again.

For all the discussion over Izzy's position (there's no way he should be selected at anything other than 15, barring injuries), I don't understand why Fardy's not a monte for the 6 jumper. Damn it, the bloke reached a world class level in his first half a dozen tests in that spot and now there's talk of moving him! Madness. I thought we'd got over that silly selectors' habit of picking the best 15 players and then handing out the jumpers. WE NEED SPECIALISTS IN EVERY POSITION. Leave Fardy at 6 and let's put some work into bringing our second-rower depth up to scratch. Over to you, Super coaches. And Link.

Why you would even consider moving Folau from fullback is beyond me - our most potent attacking weapon in years and freakishly good under the high ball. I agree also that Fardy has to stay at 6.

surely those talking about playing around with positional changes after 4 on the trot merely have to consider the Oconnor at 10 experiment. Link has a great opportunity now to consolidate some promising combinations, (genia, cooper, To'omua, kudriani, folau)

The pigs outside of higgenbottom for mowen and possibly based on super form pocok for hooper should also remain basically unchanged. Have never been a huge simmons fan but think he improved alot on the tour.

Funny funny post by you Brumby blokes - fucking nearly fell off my milk crate.

Now am waiting for the next poignant point.

Fuck McKenzie off and install a Larkham or Laurie" - am now going back to watching cartoons - they seem to have a little more reality content

I'm not sure what this outburst is in response to?

Mine isn't too different

1. Sio
2. Moore
3. Kepu
4. Simmons
5. Fardy
6. Higgenbotham
7. Pocock
8. Palu
9. Genia
10. Cooper
11. Folau
12. To'omua
13. Kuridrani
14. Speight
15. Mogg

My captain is Cooper, despite the personal doubts I have about him I think that if he's truly turned around then he is a good choice. If not, then give it to Higgenbotham.

You're forward pack while having loads of mobility lacks a little grunt. You've picked two props who are better in open field than they are in the scrum (though kepu is making progress here) and two loose head locks. A bulkier lock is usually preffered for the thighthead side to sure up the scrum and do some of the less glamorous work in and around the ruck. At test level Fardy has to be a 6, especially against the likes of Wales England South Africa and nz.

Whislst I don't necessarily share the man love for Ben - he has been excellant for the Brums, and pretty good for the Wallabies both as a player and captain.

It is a shame he is lost to Aussie rugby - BUT totally of his choosing and for his published reasons.

Might be a good time for Matt To'omua to step up - has been there since finishing at Stae high in Brisy in 2006 (i think)

All those Brumbies posts got me thinking where Jesse Mogg will be by 2015..

I think we all came to an agreement that Deans threw him in the deep end debuting him during the Lions series, and he seems for all money to have been forgotten by everyone not a Brumbies supporter on here.

If Mogg can fire, his strengths are big ones. A big boot, very quick, and handy skills, with another year and a half of development maybe Mogg could slot on to the other wing with Folau and we assume Speight making up the rest of the back 3.

With a little bit of investment by Link, Mogg could very well turn out to be the superstar we expected when we all wanted him involved in the lions tour.

There's the issue of Folau in his way. I'm not sure Mogg would be so great on the wing.
I think in form Mogg you may move izzy to the wing... Mogg has alot of ups. But strong in defence aint one.

But Izzy is amazing and fully deserves 15.
