Plus, its not the size of the dog in the fight - its the size of the fight in the dog.

Whats the other one, if his good enough his big/old enough. Id throw him in for Brissy, Leo so out of form and To'omua's injured and Beales wearing the wrong jersey.

Really hoping we just keep the Kiwis within 50 this time...

Anyone heard anything on ticket sales? Can't imagine it'll sell out with the way the RC panned out.

The Brisbane Bledisloe generally sells out but looks like still a fair few available still. The thing in our favour up here is the number of AB fans we have - they usually turn out en masse.

It will be a big crowd - the big question is, what will be the ratio of gold to black?

Faulkner is a bit odd, you would think if they were looking for a performing tight head they might choose from the scrum toweling all the others in the NRC.

Good to see Godwin, English and Jones back in though. Speight save us too please.

In that case
To'omua for English - enough wingers as is.
Palu for Shatz
TPN for Man-rae
Sio for Faulkner
McCalman an extra.

You mean the one full of full time pros towelling up the scrums with 4 pro players if there lucky? Yeah that's a good indication of how a player would go on a level playing field isn't it.

Faulkner was invited to training before the Perth test, so I imagine they like what that saw enough to want to have a closer look at him.

Why such a big squad? don't quite understand this. I wonder if this has anything to do with the whole Beale saga - bring in a bunch of fresh faces to lighten the mood.

anyway, nice to see the likes of Godwin and Speight in there.

No McCalman or Palu worries me a bit. Still not sold on Higgers as a starting player. Plus someone needs to tell him to keep his head in the scrum.

Frustrating to see still no Sio!

Likely team IMO:

1. Slipper
2. Fainga'a
3. Kepu
4. Simo
5. Horwill
6. Fardy
7. Hooper
8. Higgers
9. Phipps
10. Foley
11. AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper)
12. Lilo
13. Kuridrani
14. Speight
15. Folau

16. Hansen
17. Robinson
18. Alexander
19. Skelton
20. Hodgson
21. Genia
22. Cooper
23. Horne

Does someone want to save a lot of people (including me) some trouble by detailing some stuff about Faulkner?

I got bored:
Tetera Faulkner born in NZ, moved to Melbourne when he was 12. Played for the Moorabin Rams in his formative years before finishing school in Canberra. Then from 2006 - 2008 he represented Australia in schoolboys, U19's and u20's respectively. Spent some time in the Brumbies and Waratahs academies before playing 29 times for the Force from 2011 onwards.

Back to the orignal point - Kyle Godwin has not been an 87kg player for a long time.

That is, unless his thighs are filled with air.

He has had no issue defending at 12 in Super Rugby yet. If anything, his defensive work was his best attribute this past year.

Kurtley Beale is listed at 90kgs. Weight means absolutely shit when the measurements are outdated and some players are literal leagues ahead of others when it comes to taking contact.

Horan and To'omua have almost identical measurements so your whole "other era" argument is complete garbage too.

Actually, where did you even pluck that 87kg number from? His U-20s profile? The Force AND Wikipedia have him at 93kg. Just stop.

Ok, he weights 92 kg. He remains lightweight for international level:

Kyle Godwin 1,87 m & 92 kg

Inside centres at international level:

Billy Twelvetrees 1,93 m & 106 kg
Malakai Fekitoa 1,87 m & 99 kg
Ma'a Nonu 1,82 m & 106 kg
Sonny Bill Williams 1,94 m & 108 kg
Wesley Fofana 1,78 m & 90 kg
Gordon D'arcy 1,80 m & 91 kg
Jean de villiers 1,90 m & 103 kg
Jan Serfontein 1,88 m & 97 kg
Jamie Roberts 1,93 m & 110 kg Mathieu Bastareaud 1,83 m & 120 kg

So what
