You gotta be kidding. I missed the first 20min or so of the game but Folau looks dangerous every time he touches the ball.

You can't deny that they quite effectively shut him down. English did a good job. Beautiful intercept try though, thats the kind of stuff that will win us a game

Agree.....but I reckon he went into the game with the Rebels targeting him as a player to shut down and he still looked more dangerous than Mitchell.

But not as dangerous as Woodward.... Don't get me wrong, he should absolutely be in the squad but tonight wasn't his best game.

Anyone reckon Pyle is a chance to make the final squad? I reckon we need one more lock, has to come down to Douglas or Pyle doesn't it? Unless MMM is taken.

Pyle was the best lock on the park tonight.

Can't believe deans went with simmons over him.

His work-rate in the last 10 minutes was phenomenal.

Can't fault the Rebel pack tonight. Man on man pretty much outplayed their Wallaby opposites with only 35% of the pill. Dennis was the invisible man and frankly when you've got Higginbotham and Mowen why do you need him? if he is supposed to be a 6 and a back up lock then were better off with a specialist lock like KD or Pyle and if we need another 6 then someone who can do some damage like HMM.

He did have one good run down the sideline and a few hit ups.

Yep.

Higgers, Mowen and Palu can play 6/8 better.

Countless better locks.

He is only useful on a 4/3 bench playing the lock/6 role, but even then, I reckon MMM can do it better.

That's only any option you should exercise if you have a player capable. It's equivalent to the playing of an all-rounder in a cricket team when he is a subpar batsman and bowler.

When you consider that Liam Gill also plays 6 his selection looks even stranger.

but MMM isn't around and there isn't a better 5/6 option

We don't need a 5/6 option if it is inferior to carrying a lock and loose forward.

With the cattle Deans has selected would start Higgers, Gill and Palu with Timani at lock. Sub Timani for Simmons and Palu for Hooper to get your jumper back.

I'd start Hooper for his ability to get over the gain line but it hinges on which Palu/Timani show up.

I really don't like the idea of Timani and Palu being on at the same time. That pretty much means we have to do the 5 man line out and does anyone seriously think sending Timani on a crash ball right at Jamie Roberts/Manu Tuilagi (one or the other, not both starting..BOD is a strong defender as well) is going to win us this series??
