It could just be Panda's personal take:

Brumbies backrower Luke Reimer and the Waratahs’ Charlie Gamble are among the options Schmidt is considering, with Tom Hooper the strong contender to replace McReight in the No.7 jersey for the opening Test in Brisbane on August 10.

shows our depth at wing is getting better, I’d love to keep Lancaster but not enough room. Is Toole coming too?

Whilst not ideal you can play someone like Hooper out of position in the 7 role against the Boks given their style; doing that against the All Blacks or even Argies is dangerous, though.

Koroibete to be the only foreign selection in this squad...

And...

As revealed by The Roar, injuries to Liam Wright (bicep) and Fraser McReight (thumb) will see the Reds duo miss the opening two Springboks fixtures in Brisbane and Perth.

Their absence will pave the way for Waratahs recruit Rob Leota to make his return from a hamstring injury.

It’s understood Luke Reimer, the hard Brumbies on-baller, is favoured for a call-up after spending time with Brumbies-based Wallabies in Canberra last week. But Rory Scott, the rising 23-year-old, is another who is being strongly thought of.

Also mentions BPA won't likely be back until later in TRC along with Bell and Porecki.

Petaia apparently still recovering from injury.

Outside of the injuries to McReight and Wright that's already looking like a much stronger squad. Glad they went with Reimer and Tizzano as the seven options, both look to have that hunger and potential to handle the next level.

interesting to see Schidt dumping guys like Lancaster and Cale and bringing in guys like Toole (who is equally inexperienced at this level).. I'd like to think that he's not completely discarding those guys, but instead just opting to have a look at some other 'fringe' guys to see who really makes the most of the opportunity. I think both Lancaster and Cale have big futures with the wallabies but I also think they both have things to work on to fulfill their potential at test level. Similarly I think a guy like Jorgensen isn't ready to be starting at test level but I don't hate the idea of him potentially getting a chance off the bench.
