Wallabies 2024

more importantly

Schmidt vs Jones
Cron vs Davis
Fisher vs Hodgson/Hatley
Parling vs Palmer

Although, wasn't Palmer the lineout coach?

I honestly can't remember, because defence coaches became attack coaches, and backline specialists became defence coaches, or some such?

I mean sorting out the Brumbies lineout from the start of the season shitshow and getting them to the semi should have got him there. Should be there .. maybe Joe don't like him
Yeah I wasn't the biggest Swain fan but I think he has come along in the second half of the season this year.

He has removed the poor choices from his game (noting he still got a yellow recently)

I'm really surprised he isn't there

Nasser and Blyth are suspect, what's the thinking here?

100% on Nasser. I’m guessing the logic is he is the backup guy in a 20-25 minute cameo off the bench behind already established wallaby hooker Fessler & he might be better then advertised … I don’t see what the selectors see in him… but then again I’m just a couch fan.

Yeah from memory they had the best scrum coach in the aus system not doing scrums

Yeah that one was 50/50..
Palmers credentials are higher a sa scrum coach, but Eddie hired him as the lineout coach... So Parling probably takes that one also.

Overall... Schmidt coaching team is far better then the motley mess Eddie put together..

Angus Blyth.... Sorry but just no. He's definitely shown preference for staying local.

Brumbies fans dirty about no Lonergan at 9? Don't really think he has the next gear compared to the others IMO.

Am glad to see Pollard. He was starting to show some of the physicality he has in him

Simon Zebo was saying on the KOKO pod the other week that Schmidt prefers more detail-oriented players - could explain some of the in/exclusions

Not a huge fan of this attitude. Surely if you really wanted to be a Wallaby it should make him work even harder?
He did work hard, he deserved to be selected and has been overlooked again. He played U20s for Fiji and I'm sure they would love the opportunity to select a player of his quality in the pack. Why should he wait any longer to play international rugby? His 27, so does not have that long to wait before it's to late.
