He was born in New Zealand.
I refer you to the league nationality eligibility guidelines:fair enough - what was the basis of his being picked in league for NZ?
In 2007, he represented Australia at the under-19s Rugby World Cup in Ireland and stood across from the Junior All Blacks as they performed the haka. "I watched them do the haka and, to be honest with you, mate, it wasn't right," he recalls. "I should have been doing the haka with them."
It wouldn't be ARU money. Surely not.
I dont know how I feel about him representing Australia. If his hearts not in it what is the point.
I refer you to the league nationality eligibility guidelines:
To be eligible to play for a country, you must have:
a) visited the country
b) failing visted the country, you must have intended to visit the country
c) failing above, be able to specifically locate the country on a map (give or take 25,000 kilometres)
It wouldn't be ARU money. Surely not.

its necessary but not sufficientProblem is that I don't think that 'heart' is a prerequist for Wallaby selection. Other wise there would be quite a few of us here in the run on side. But Surely not?
according to mungos he would walk into the Wallabies starting side.

He is eligible, he is an Aussie schoolboy and has already been in the Jr Tahs if I remember correctly. Lee might correct me on that but I remember the tah being disappointed when he left for league

And last time the Tahs signed him in 2007 they paid him $1500
I suspect that's whats going on.This quote makes me question who his manager is. If he really felt like this and felt strongly enough to offer the quote then one would think that if he had the courage of his convictions he would never conteplate playing for the Wallabies and if he doesnt have the courage of those convictions do we want him?
Makes me think that this is just an attempt to drum up some cross code interest for the purposes of maximising his contract.
