fair enough - what was the basis of his being picked in league for NZ?
I refer you to the league nationality eligibility guidelines:

To be eligible to play for a country, you must have:
a) visited the country
b) failing visted the country, you must have intended to visit the country
c) failing above, be able to specifically locate the country on a map (give or take 25,000 kilometres)

It would be a complete joke if the ARU throw money at him to get him to the Tahs. They trying to cut down their top up list to 25, which in it self is pretty moronic. Be a bit of a slap in the face to some of the toilers- like the Fainga'a twins.

It wouldn't be ARU money. Surely not.

I dont know how I feel about him representing Australia. If his hearts not in it what is the point.

Problem is that I don't think that 'heart' is a prerequist for Wallaby selection. Other wise there would be quite a few of us here in the run on side. But Surely not?

I wonder how many of you have actually talked to him or seen him play Rugby. The fact is, he was parachuted into an Australian team after being injured in his last year. He then went to Norths colts and grade. Following this the Pepsi's and then City Ford. The guy is a rugby player.

i think there's an additional qualification:
d) you must have watched a TV show or movie set in the country, including the news

I realise you're being facetious but where would he play at national level? He's not tall enough to be a genuine jumping option, thus 6 is out. He doesn't look big enough to play as a modern 8. He doesn't have the skillset to play as a 7. Unless they were intending to transform him into a back, which seems unlikely, the best he could probably hope for would be as bench cover.

He was a 6, he is hard as they come and a great runner. As long as you had an 8 jumper I think you would be fine with him. Don't think he would walk in currently but Australia needs hard nuts at the moment sk would be happy for him to give it a go.

He is eligible, he is an Aussie schoolboy and has already been in the Jr Tahs if I remember correctly. Lee might correct me on that but I remember the tah being disappointed when he left for league

i remember him playing for the Rays in the ARC, quite a good rugby player and was dissapointed when he signed with league.. I seem to remember that the Tahs offered him a academy position but obviously couldn't match a full contract in the NRL.

This quote makes me question who his manager is. If he really felt like this and felt strongly enough to offer the quote then one would think that if he had the courage of his convictions he would never conteplate playing for the Wallabies and if he doesnt have the courage of those convictions do we want him?
Makes me think that this is just an attempt to drum up some cross code interest for the purposes of maximising his contract.
