Waerea-Hargreaves to the Tahs?

If the tahs need a hard hitting workhorse in the form of Saffy, WH would be good.

Coming back to the Tahs? I'll believe it when I see it.

The NRL is at risk of losing another high-profile player to a rival code, with the NSW Waratahs in negotiations about signing off-contract Sydney Roosters and New Zealand forward Jared Waerea-Hargreaves.
The 23-year-old backrower is no stranger to the 15-man format, having represented Australia at the under-19 world championship in Ireland in 2007 and previously played club rugby.
He was targeted by the Waratahs last time he was on the open market in 2009 but left former club Manly for the Roosters instead of joining the Super Rugby franchise.
The Kiwi is in their sights again and preliminary discussions between the Waratahs and Waerea-Hargreaves' manager, Mike Newtown, are underway.

Is this as a replacement for Dennis who is rumored to be Melbourne bound?

Also, wasn't he in the junior or training squad at some stage for the Tahs

Dennis would be a huge gain for Melbourne and big Tahs loss. Is that due to the Melbourne Sydney Uni connection?

I am another that thinks that Warea-Hargreaves isn't worth persisting with for a code switch. Yes, he's a thug with a big mouth, too.

With the amount that JWH would demand, the Tahs could surely easily keep Daisy Dennis around.

He played one colts game for Norths and unfortunately it was at Manly Oval. Destruction. Went to grade the following week. The major problem in Australian rugby is a lack of c*^t, if he has it then bring him back.

he's a Kiwi - so why would the Tahs pick him up: can they given Pretorius?
To be any use that hard hitting tackling technique would need to go through some major renovations to become UNion legal.

He is an Australian schoolboy. He played league for kiwi town, means nothing in union, he is a local.

he has to be eligible for selection by the wallabies - not saying he isn't but i dont know his background - I see he went to school in QLD and looks like he was born in Rotorua.
Havent we had enough of league imports - even if they were union juniors?

He is eligible, he is an Aussie schoolboy and has already been in the Jr Tahs if I remember correctly. Lee might correct me on that but I remember the tah being disappointed when he left for league

Being anAussi schoolboy or even a junior tah do not, per se, make you elligible
