U18 Academy Games and Australia U18s

Homer

Watty Friend (18)
Where is the Knox prop Kotec or something. Was very good last season against a big QLD pack and still at school.

League

both O Smith and H Bloomfield (always played TH Prop?) playing hooker - could be interesting dilemma for Kings 1XV, GPS coaches/selectors going forward...
With Smith the starter for the Tahs, I think that says that he is currently seen as better in that position. The Tahs will be wanting to start their best squad. Not sure if it would make any difference to school other than having another option in case of injury

Expected more from Uys in that first half of the u18s given all the hype. Sheck, Smith and Lavercombe I feel are slightly more dominant so far given the number of scrums that have taken place.

They looked like they woke up at HT.

Nobody could tackle Gough at 12. If he’d had a support runner another couple of tries would have gone in.

NSW seemed to up the ante and hold it through the second half.

Gough will be a force to be reckoned with in the AAGPS this year. Coming off a breakout year in the Joeys 1XV which landed him a spot in the AAGPS 1XV and robbed of an Australian 18s jumper. This is his 2nd year in the Tahs 18s squad and will be in for a big school and representative season
