Well, it looks like ISA. It should be a great game. CAS looked gutted after the loss to GPS 2. Their big fellas looked like they started to tire and the fitness of the GPS 2s got them over the line...just.The GPS backline looks scary. I think the only question is who do they beat in the final, CAS or ISA? Or GPS 2?
Brumbies played at Viking Park last year. I'm sure a lot of the other states played at smaller grounds as well. I think the stadiums will be too big.Just curious if anyone knows where the Super Rugby Men's U16 games will be played at? Would it be fair to say they will be playing at the host grounds at Parramatta (Tahs), AAMI Park (Rebels), Sun corp (Reds), Subiaco (Force) and Canberra (Brumbies)? Or will they play smaller venues? I'd like to try to get along to a match or two.
Emerging Reds u16 trials are only just being done now, will still be a few weeks before teams will be announcedDoes anyone from QLD have any information about the under 16s emerging Reds teams yet. Are trials beginning soon??
I believe so, it seems like the most logical way to do it, always been a great battle between all the sides.Does anyone know if the u16 emerging reds are doing the same format as last year? With one country team, 2 Brisbane teams and 1 SEQ team. With a different set up in the u14 system, I’m interested to see what the Reds will do…
Hopefully, the country team puts up a good fight this year… After an unsuccessful campaign, last year. Would really like to see the boys from the scrub win this whole Emerging Reds ‘Comp’.I believe so, it seems like the most logical way to do it, always been a great battle between all the sides.
Would love to see more representitives from outside the GPS this year. As I have discussed on various other forums Nepotism towards the GPS has been too strong within the reds academy. 13 players from NC in the u15s and a coach is simply ridiculous. Hopefully the 16's we see closer scorelines against Gen Blue and more variety and skill than last year.Hopefully, the country team puts up a good fight this year… After an unsuccessful campaign, last year. Don't know if anyone else did but I happened to take a look at the u15 state carnival played a couple of weeks ago a Padua Colledge. There was some ripper talent shown at that comp and I was looking forward to the selections. There was promise from the Capricornia team (9,15,20,6,8,12) Met North (10,4,2,12,7,9), Met East (2,5,13,8,1,3) and gold Coast (3,5,10,6). However, the team list completely disregarded this. Especially from the Capricornia region I don't know if you guys know about them, but they have a history of finishing 8th, However this year they had a blinder and came 4th and played some excellent rugby drawing a crowd to every game. Though as predicted the coach (Sean Graham.) Overlooked the country teams. He didn't even show up until the last day of the carnival with a pre picked team. Selecting only one cap player and five Mest West players even though they finished 6th Same happening to Sunny Coast who finished 3rd and got one representative in the team. Typical of Nudgee they get players in the team that have been injured or away for the first part of the season! Sorry for my anger but I am very passionate about my rugby and hate when young players are missing out just because of where they live or because they're not best mates (From NC) with the coach.Would love to see more representitives from outside the GPS this year.
