I think it will be a bit of nothing. He is being charged for getting two yellow cards equalling a red card rather than for either of the offences as neither was deemed to meet the red card threshold.

I think he'll get one week.

I reckon you are right if he pleads guilty. Much more interesting if they fight it

Lindommer and Mrs Lindommer are venturing south of the border, sombreros at the ready to school our Mexican cousins in the way of proper rugby. Tahs are a monte for this one; Genia's absence has left the Rebels a leaderless rabble while Coleman's injury means their forwards are now, officially, a pack of pussycats.

Tahs by 30. Put yer house on 'em.

Taking in the Richmond/Swans match on Thursday night but we won't talk about that match.

If Folau gets ruled out I'd guess Hegarty starts at fullback and Mason or Kellaway would join the bench. Foketi is out injured.

First time for Foley as Captain?

Yes. Hooper hasn't missed a Super Rugby game since he joined the Tahs in 2013.

An interesting trivia question I don't know the answer to, who was the last person to captain the Waratahs in a Super Rugby game aside from Michael Hooper, Dave Dennis and Phil Waugh?

Edit: I am pretty sure it is Benn Robinson in 2012.

Folau suspended for a week. Is going to appeal.

If Folau misses the game, Hegarty moves to fullback and Irae Simone joins the bench.

I'd guess he'll get more minutes this week than he has been getting.

Fitzpatrick has been great though. Lineout has been outstanding and so has his ball playing. His skills favour the faster and looser Super Rugby style. His linebreaks and offloads have been good and he gets through a lot of work, particularly making tackles.

That said, I'd be very happy to see him go hell for leather in the first half with a planned sub at half time.

Yep, definitely can't fault Fitzpatrick but not sure you reward guys for playing well by giving them a start over a returning player in a professional competition in the biggest game of the year, maybe at subbies, club or schoolboy level you would.

If it's a tactical reason behind starting Fitzpatrick I guess it's probably because the Rebels have fallen away in the second half a number of times and Latu may be able to wreak havoc at the end.

Lose number one done, now for the Rebels to really screw up your weekend.

Folau officially out for tomorrow after the appeal failed. Think this might give the Rebs the slightest advantage going into it

R3, I think Will Genia's loss will prove the bigger factor. My thoughts are the Tahs will get up in this match by around 8 - 12.

I'll be surprised if it's 8-12.

Way i am looking at this match is if you break the teams down per sector

Waratahs have the better front row
Rebels have the better locks combo
Rebels have the better backrow
Waratahs have the better 9, 10, 12
Rebels have the better back 3 + outside centre
Rebels have the better bench

Problem is the front row and the play maker positions are probably the most important areas of the game. Think this might be a 1/2 point game.

Would love to see Hodge go long as much as possible and test the Tahs ability to get out of their own half

If both teams come out with at least a point from the game it wouldn't be the worst outcome for both teams
