It's a pretty big risk they're taking as they're only a point ahead of the Chiefs & two n front of Crusaders.

I recall that the Waratahs did that once in the early 00s. Got smashed by 90 points and never recovered for the semis.

I think it's a pretty sound move by the Lions given the travel factor. The SA teams haven't backed up well after the long road trip home from Argentina. They will be concentrating on getting their first playoff win ever as a franchise. They haven't been in the finals since Laurie Mains was calling the shots back in 2000-01.

Not overly convinced the Canes forwards will be able to contain the Sadist's pack, but I remain hopeful.
And have a problem, club team plays final home game at same time as this is on, and being a grassroots man I suspect I may have to record this game!!:(

^^^^^^^^^ gives you the option of not watching it if things don't go too well.......

I've got bro- & sis-in-law plus their Little Miss 10 arriving tonight, heading to Jupiters tomorrow arvo so I've got my fingers crossed to find a screen showing it somewhere.

Could you script a better final round for the NZ teams. Go the Highlanders. Love the way they play.....REPEAT!

Nice start by the Canes, patient build up, accuracy and skill for the first try. Great defence by the Saders up to the point of the try. (self evident!?)

mmm...puts a further perspective on the Tahs narrow loss to the Canes last weekend, they have really dominated the Saders in the second half. For mine the Canes have been the sleepers a bit in the NZ conference, I was focussing more on the Saders and Chiefs.
