Well he had some of the best players SA ever had, at or near their peaks. Meyer doesn't have that luxury, he never has. He's sitting with the task of rebuilding the Bok team. With this team Piet Helium would never even have won a game in the last 4 years. It's all relative.
Rebuilding the Bok team??? Yes with old age players, thats the way to go!

They are not just old, they are vokken old, stok oud. Bringing them back from the Bok museum.

Its the only name you gave? Now you want to bring provinces in like your Blue Bull supporters do. I dont have horns on my head like you and Blue.

I already told you Schalk Burger and Jean de Villiers should not be close to a Bok team for starters. Suppose they play for the Bulls?

Who would you replace them with? Keeping in mind that no team has ever won a world cup without a wealth of experience. I see what he's trying to do. Yes, De Villiers is off form now, but how would he have known that if he didn't give him a chance after his injury recovery? Last year before he was injured, nobody even thought of replacing him.

I don't know what you have against Schalk either. Who would you rather have? If you say Carr I'll puke in my own mouth. Not because he's bad, but he's no better than Schalk and has no experience. If all our loosies were fit, then Schalk wouldn't be there, but now they're not, what do you want Meyer to do?

And the provincialism problem doesn't lie with me, but with you. Your hate for Meyer is so strong that you would even chastise WP players that Meyer picked because your intense hate for him overrides your favor towards WP players, that's how bad it is.

You don't need to confirm nor deny this, your comments speak for themselves.

Nou wat nou, PaarlBok? Even the mighty Jake White had an equally bad, if not worse run than Meyer if you look at our margins of losses then compared to this year. And that was with a greatly settled squad full of established players.

Nick Mallett had a 4 match losing streak himself, the same guy many are begging to replace Meyer.

The only thing that makes it look bad is the timing. But we've been in worse situations before. I guess it's true what they say - time heals everything.

The only difference I guess for you is that Jake and Mallett tended to favor WP players for selection. I'm starting to see why you say what you say, and it's got nothing to do with Meyer.
You still bring in province in the discussion like you Bulls supporters do.

Modern rugby biggest price is winning World Cups. Mallet had his losing streak with a old world cup squad AFTER the 1999 world Cup. Jake White had his losing streak in 2006, a year before the 2007 World Cup.

Now listen mooi, Heyneke Meyer is losing GOING INTO the 2015 WORLD CUP and his team is losing against the PUMAS IN SOUTH AFRICA.

Can you see the differense?

So Jake planned his slump, and Heyneke is just a crap coach? I can't believe what I'm reading.

You believe what you want. Your intense hate for anything Bulls related - except your love child Pollard who comes from WP anyway - is something special.

Geez I dunno how to explain this to you. International rugby works in wc cycles. Thats where the teams measure themself for success. All of them will try to get their best players to peak in the wc tournament. Meyer and the bok team is on an all mighty bok low at this very moment. Thats it.

As pointed out above, it's not even the biggest low of the last decade.

Trust me, hopefully Meyer prove me wrong, I'll be the first to congrats him but I cant see this happening. I'll settle with him if we make the semis.

We need young fresh hungry passionate Bokke like Serfontein, Die Ellende, Kriel, Pollard, Etsebeth, Ginga & kie. At least if we had a team with their age and one or two more experience players like Duanne, Bismarck, Beast ext I would have expect them to lose a few but now with the old guard, no ways. There is no plan B or at least something other of a gameplan from high kick and charge from Meyers bunch.

thing is SA supporters like you get stuck into politics, side shows. Use it as excuses and lost the plot, you cant even name players who shines.

Because there aren't any. Nothing sinister. You're trying to cover your lack of an argument by throwing mud my way and calling it "politics".

Take a breather, guys. We haven't got to the RWC yet and you've got a real easy pool anyway. I have you odds on for a semi, come what may.

SA are going to play runner-up in Pool A. That's England or Australia. Very likely Australia

It'll be England. The Soap Dodgers will be sh!tting bricks up against the Men in Gold. FFS they are still undecided if a former Mungoballer is a 6 or a 12. They will be owned by the Colonials at the RWC.

Nah, putting England on SA/NZ side of the draw in a home tournament!? Poite will get his orders.

Well it's been a day of upsets hasn't it! Not the best refereeing performance and 2 obvious debate able decisions for me, BUT I would also say that Argentina were good for the win and the better team. SA looked a little lost when plan A didn't work didn't they?

P.s Hernandez and Matera were pretty awesome for me. Really add something to this Argentinian team
I think we played better but we were quite lucky too. Boks made a lot of mistakes that they usually don't make (at least against us, especially with the backs' defence).

Not sure if it's been said or not, but I really liked the Pumas jerseys last night. Traditional Hoops and collar with just the team crest, no sponsor. Good to see!
I totally agree. It was a sort of tribute for the 1965's Pumas. I want them to wear it on RWC, but apparently it was a one-match jersey.
