A mighty win considering a 22 6 penalty count against us including 19 in a row
Well done, I believe each of the penalties were fair and reflected your commitment today. The Blues turned up to play and the dominance stepped over the boundaries on occasions - it can happen.

From the sideline I think this game was won at the collision, it was the commitment to dominate that area which flowed through of the rest of the game.

Fair call Dave, the commitment was all we could ask for. Now to build on that.

Saw Uni get done by Beasties. Is it customary for Uni to lose early games, then the Super XV finishes and they win?

that's basically how it works each year, lose a couple early on Super rugby finishes, basically have a Super rugby team and become unstoppable last 2 months.

They had quite a few Super rugby players today though, Easts were just massive on defence. Lots of dropped Uni ball, they had plenty of opportunities, spent about 30 mins camped in Easts's 22.

Yep a great win by 2 Blues today - line speed in defence outstanding all day . Manly have work to do if they are going to fulfill expectations -easy to win at home on a dry track - totally different away against committed opposition. For the record at least Marlins atoned for last year's no show at Merrylands RSL ( in wet weather also) but then lost boat race as well ! Not a red letter day and the Woods next week.....

Uni seem to find their feet mid-late part of the season. As everyone knows they have a large contingent of super players and combinations take time to build coming from the different franchises. Based on today although good to see them lose (2 on the trot now) they are only a few passes away from scoring 4-5 tries.

How was Wicks scrum this weekend? Better?
The wicks scrum was much better and held its own for much of the game. The Eastwood scrum had some big weighty boys and as the game went on they picked off a few lineouts but not the scrums. They did have it travelling back in a few scrums but nothing like the previous week.
The second rower for Eastwood, Mitch Lees was outstanding and very mobile for a big unit. The 34-3 scoreline included a very well taken intercept from Lachie Turner who was carried off with an ankle injury later on and some very well taken tries down the left wing.
There is no doubting the commitment of both sides in this match and the injury toll will attest to this at their next training session.
