We heard a whisper that the Woods have had over 100 for Colts. So I find it hard to believe that they are struggling to field a 4th grade side. They could just push some of the older colts up. Maybe there was a lower grade wedding or something on last week.

Agree wholeheartedly. Powers that be should stop this absurd push for schoolboys to go to grade if what ? They play a game of International schoolboys. Nonsense.

I agree that clubs have a responsibility to look after their players , & not push them to play in games that they are not ready for , but do we know that this was the case with Killingworth ?
However a number of boys do handle the senior grades on leaving school , & quite a few play second grade for the first half of the season , & then get the occasional first grade game towards the end of the year.
As it was a trial game ,it's likely all sorts of players were on & off the field , because their playing standard may not be known to the coach.
Some young guys won't play colts .
My commiserations to him.

We've lost so many players that there's 7 from the Rats Twos last year and one from Colts in that XV IIRR. The only decent acquisition we have is Peseta from Gordon. Hobden played in the Canberra comp but I haven't seen him play and Lindfield is from subbies. I don't know 12. Walsh, or have forgotten him.

Going to be a long year; in fact: a long few years I reckon.

son of John. Tim has played First and Second Grade for the Wicks for the better part of the last 10 years.
