PS Can some SD tragic type out the names of the SD dream team for this year - ditto Manly? Those are going to be strong teams on paper. Come to think of it any team will do.

A 'Dream Team'? With NO Wallaby 30-man squad members? I'll have a crack.

1. Lotu T, 2. Fonokalafi (Frier? Nio?), 3. Kepu, 4. Jowitt, 5. Mowen, 6. Vandergalss, 7. Lam, 8. Hoiles, 9. Phibbs (Valentine), 10. Jai Ayoub (Toby Browne), 11. Pakalani, 12. Fairbanks, 13. Shaun Foley, 14. Sills, 15. Toby Browne (Mark Sweeney).

Just a guess. Not sure who I've forgotten. Rumour has it that Nick Cummins will move to Southern after the Super Rugby season, but he may well be in an initial Wallaby training squad anyway. I'm guessing Kepu & Hoiles won't make it, and have used a bit of creative licence in shifting Mowen into the 2nd row to strengthen a weakness.

Let's change the rules and make it a dream team without the players likely to be in a Wallaby squad of 30. If you are not sure bracket two players.

Albert go back in and edit your Randwick team please.

Timani, Henderson, Palmer, Samo? I hope for Souths sake there is more because that team only has 2 S15 players in it and doesn't look like a potential GF team.

Thought the Rebels guys had to commit to a local club?

Nope , Part of the reason Laurie Weeks and Al Campbell signed with the Rebels was to return back playing for Sydney University.

Dont see many Uni players being selected in the Wallabies team I must say.

1. Jeremy Tilse
2. Ben Roberts (Nathan Charles)
3. Laurie Weeks
4. Al Campbell (Dan Vickerman)
5. Dave Dennis (Dean Mumm)
6. Pat McCutcheon
7. Phil Waugh
8. Tim Davidson (Ben McCalmen)
9. Ed Brennanhann (Nick Phipps / Luke Burgess)
10. Daniel Halangahu (Berrick Barnes)
11. Lachlan Mitchell
12. Tom Carter
13. Mitch Inman
14. Peter Betham
15. Julian Huxley

16. Sam Roberson
17. Paddy Ryan
18. Sam Carter
19. Jonno Jenkins
20. Matt Schwager
21. Dan Kelly
22. Alfie Mafi

23. Jerry Yanuyanutawa

25. Joe Horne-Smith
26. Tom Boidin
27. Tom Kingston
28. Nick Edwards

That's not all for Gordon as Gower has gone to Manly and Seale, Nichol & Tuala are at Norths. I heard Barry and Plotskys are at Eastwood as well.

Rats flyhalf John Kennedy out for the season. His leg got stuck, it hyper-extended and twisted; so John needs a knee reconstruction. He did it in a touch tournament on the Gold Coast.

Bugger.

Maybe, later in the season, we will see Pat McCabe play flyhalf again.

waves - Sydney Uni team

But will they make the semis as their dream team will not be available for some time?

A huge ask, EandE, when you consider that there are 24 Uni players on full Super contracts plus those in academy programs. A number of these may be available while the Super 15 is still proceeding but it will be a major challenge to stay in touch, especially with the heavy recruitment and more intensive training being done by some other clubs.

Fortunately, quite a few lower graders and Colts players are really stepping up, but the main weapon that Uni has is the return of Todd Louden in the role of Head Coach.
