I'm curious to understand how they did this so they could constantly replicate things.

From what I've gathered, Link makes the boys train every day of the week when coming back.

Looking at Quade and Kev's twitter feeds you can see the time zone change hasn't impacted them much (Quade says he's feeling great and Kev's back at Uni).

With this in mind, are the young guys able to cope with the lack of sleep/change of sleep patterns compared to the older counter parts? Or is it something based on keeping the body occupied during the days they're back and just making sure they switch right back onto their sleeping patterns?

Link said something (in SMH I think?) about having a session every day but making it short and sharp. Maybe training in short bursts so that fatigue doesn't kick in allows quicker recovery.

Too much being made about teams using what is written in the media to motivate themselves. I had a discussion about this with a recent Bok and he said they used to laugh at the stuff written in the media and said it played abolsutely no role in how they prepared for a match.

As for the actual game of rugby, as much as it pains me, the Reds should win comfortably.

Too many parts of the Bulls machine arentt working 100% and with the kind of simple game plan we employ the failures are plain to see.

Just not dynamic enough.

I agree Blue, unless a player or a coach from the opposition comes out and says something directly about 'said' team, what sort of impact will it have.

Considering the Bulls are a team of massive dudes with a large chunk in there early 30's, i fail to see them crowding around the laptop with the Reds website up prior to kick off slapping each other on the faces and psyching themselves up.

The Bulls are playing poorly and the Reds should win but you never know when a previously champion team is going to come back.

As for the Bulls pack being huge: they aren't. They are about 880kgs tops which is average.

It's the impact of how weight is applied that is important and the Bulls are wanting in that department this year compared to last.

You mean a dull gameplan.

Starting to get excited about this one. I don't like the fact that everyone thinks the Reds will win. Enjoyed them being underdogs last week.

just because the stormers looked like duds doesnt mean the Reds did
You were the one starting a thread about the Stormers type of gameplan.

Can the same trend continue all year, what will happen when the competitions top 2 teams playe each other, Crusaders v Stromers, the best in defence v the best in attack..

Is the penalty kick option been encouraged by the high veldt and will they be able to carry on this game plan when they come to Australia and New Zealand.
Geuss you agree its a suprior one like your Red broer?

Pretty sure you enjoyed the match. The laaitie was in great form on sunday, captained his side and scored half their goals. Today we are off to Wellington for the final Boland field hockey trials. He will make one of the Boland sides minimum but he aim for the A side which will play in Potch during June in the nationals. Will cost me a fortune.

PB, dont be a whinger, you ragged on the Reds for looking dull yet your a stormers fan for crying out loud.

What do they say about throwing stones in glass houses??
You were the one whinging about the Stormers type of gameplan. That lost is done and dusted and the better team won on the day. Your reply now will be appreciate on that thread or do you want me to bump it for you?

jeez mate, how paranoid are you, go back and read that thread, i pointed out that the Stormers had scored the lowest amount of tries and the Crusaders have scored the most, at no point did i say anything condescending in regards to either team.. now stop been a troll and let this thread get back on topic.
