good article in the paper today by Mike Coleman explaining that once all Member tickets, corporate, SANZAR and life member tickets have been allocated for tonight, there are only about 8000 tickets to be sold.

So there may not be a lot of money made by the QRU tomorrow, although I guess there will be money saved.

Although, it could have been a revenue positive night if they managed to get 30,000 (or close to it) at Suncorp.

Not sure how he is getting those numbers, the figures I have say that there is just a touch over 8500 held and accounting for those types. taking that off the cap for seats, there is just a little under 11500 for sale, with just over 4K left (roughly 3K platinum and 1K hill).

Are the xxxx hill seats any good? I really want to go but can't stand overly shithouse seats.

Not seats standing only unless you want to sit on the grass.

It all depends on whether it has rained recently. Take a piece of plastic or garbage bag if so. Or just get hammered and you won't notice.

Oh, and be careful if you don't have much grip on your shoes.

Should we call it the 'Don't go Hynsie Hill this saturday'?

Thanks for the answers guys. I know there aren't seats haha, I probably should have said tickets. Regardless, two tickets bought now, can't fucking wait for this!

We need a really big sign.

"Don't go Hynsie, Diggers, Quade, Rocket, Dales, Gill, Eddie Q, Jake, etc etc"

I want to see these players singed to the senior squad NOW, but I think they are worried about ruffling feathers of existing senior squad members. Sign em up link. Piss off the dead wood.

Imagine if we lose all our up and comers and keep all out tried and true rubbish.

I want to see ink on paper.

fairly consistent showers so far today.

The surface will be slippery, as should the ball.

More rain due tonight.

Showers are certainly not the reds best playing conditions. Potentially worrying for Cooper. I should stop by Rebel sports and pick up some rugby gloves for him.

There were positives, but jeez that midfield defence disappeared compared to last week. Blues weren't any smarter than the Crusaders.

Will Chambers might benefit to some more exposure to Club rugby before his next S14 outing...

Chambers went fine, yeah he overcooked one kick but other then that he did well, especially when coming into contact and managing to stay on his feet until support arrived, a big thing league converts struggle with.

I think at the end of the day the Reds were purely outplayed by a opposition that adapted to the conditions better, the blues kicking game was solid, there defence was average but there cover defence was good.

One gripe i do have is that the rule interpretations, getting policed differently week to week, whilst i didnt think it had to much influence on tonights match since it worked both ways, there were a few points when a penalty would have occured or gone the other way had it happened last week.

One more second of patience from Chambers (grounding instead of knocking on) and the result could have been different, but I thought he did generally well.

Where the Reds let themselves down slightly was the first two channels on defence

I don't think Steve Walsh has played to much rugby hey. I know if i was in an attacking position where a 7 pointer was very possible, I think I would want that, Walsh pinned him, however not issuing a yellow card for preventing attacking rugby is a farce. Was he too pissed to realise that he had cards in his pocket?

Also touch judge on the Hardman (lineout) call was disgraceful, it couldn't have been straighter. I did my research and Stephen Hill was the same AR who missed that forward pass in the Reds game when the Tahs scored even when Joubert asked him.

Aside Walsh was okay. But Tim Walsh had a blinder.

Will Genia fantastic work, a few errors but that's to be expected when you get involved that much particularly in the wet weather.

Yep, just back from the game and now dry. The Blues were much more aggressive in the midfield defense than the Reds, and that is where they won the game. They adapted better to the conditions.

I was thinking that after only 20 minutes. I thought to myself - 'I wonder if Steve Walsh was absent at the meeting where they discussed the recent directives'. He appeared to referee it like it was last year, and it could have been costly for the Reds in the first half if not for Brett's wayward kicking.

chins up qld, could be worse, you could have talked your team up for a couple of weeks only to look like morons when it all went wrong...........sorry, my bad, continue on topic.

Both halfbacks played very well, both being in the top 3 performers for their respective sides.

It looked like from the hill that Mealamu was punching into a Reds player in a ruck in the second half, but I take it that this wasn't the case because he didn't get a yellow?

I was also calling for the yellow when the blues were lying all over the tackled player 1m out from their line with around 10 to go. Last week that was a yellow card - why isn't it this week?
