This is pure speculation, I haven't heard anything. But maybe Digby is also coming back?

I had heard he wasn't that happy in France, but that's all I've heard.

Just imagine all of Genia, Cooper, Hunt, JOC (James O'Connor), CFS & Digby running around..

9. Genia
10. Cooper
11. Ioane
12. Hunt
13. CFS
14. JOC (James O'Connor)
15. ??

Might need a bigger fullback to add a bit of size but it'd be an exciting backline. Shame Jono Lance isn't still around he would have been the perfect 'solid' player to complement a backline full of erratic stars.

If the Reds can afford this the ARU should let them do it. For the good of the game and all that. I'd probably buy season tickets for the first time in a year or so if it came to fruition.

Now we just need not a single injury to our starting 15. Plus they need to be super fit to last the full 80.

You have obviously seen more of him.
From my POV he is not a standout in the 20's squad.
There is only one back in that squad with a full pro contract.
You can't sign them all at that age.

Yeah his form in the U20's has been well down on his best. No idea why. You sure can't sign em all but if we only signed one, he would be my one.

For all of the talk about Digby's knees packing it in how many games did he actually miss in the last couple of seasons from knee trouble?

Not disputing that they are nearly done but I don't remember him missing too many games.

he played 10 out of 17 games in 2013 (scoring 1 try out of 31 scored).
He played 11 out of 17 games in 2012 (scoring 1 try out of 37 scored).

Can't say whether they were all knee injuries however.

Thanks for the info. In 2012 he missed 4 games through suspension that I can recall of the top of my head but your stats RE tries score seem to allude more to his chalky knees affecting his form more than his ability to play? Which would make sense.

So are Shatz, Quirk, and two Fingers gone or just not picked

Article today from Jim Tucker regarding Hunt and JOC (James O'Connor) coming to the Reds next year. Nothing really new and also confirms that Davies, Toua and Shipperly all gone next year.

There isn't anything there confirming that JOC (James O'Connor) has signed but if the reds do sign him I will not be renewing my membership. The reds seem to have enough issues at the moment as it is, they don't need him poisoning anything else.

That Foxsports article says pretty categorically that Shipperley is off elsewhere, but does not mention where.

Does anyone know?

This is a fair assessment. Sure, he's was a fantastic schoolboy and had a good first year out of school (he's not even doing half bad currently), BUT I'd say he's probably not even our form 15 at the U20 WC.
He still deserves his start for the U20s though seeing as Kellway plays wing too.
