Fair chance it is his plan. As it is for SBW, at least the 2015-2016 part. Possibly Folau too.

Doesn't make it a bad plan if it buys the Reds one year to transition their squad.

I think any JOC (James O'Connor) offer should be a three year deal minimum and only include a release for 7s if Aus team is banging on his door.
Folau will def try for sevens and probably make it. Beauty of it is that once Olympics are done two more seasons and we are into a World Cup year. I would love to be a big name rugby player at the japan World Cup. It will be a cracker.

I like to watch

David Codey (61)
He also recently signed on to stay in the Victorian game, I believe.
Is this actually a fact?
Or is it just a rumour that was started on an Internet forum & has now become the truth?Show us a link or footage of him saying this or leave it in the rumour mill.

He hasn't signed anything. Has intimated that the Broncos are his first choice, but it's sounding like Melbourne could be more realistic.

Broncos have issues with both $$$ and Positions.

In contrast, Storm have the new Marquee slot open, plus the ability to shift around their players (Slater may be moved to 5/8th specifically). Plus his cousin is down there.

(JOC (James O'Connor)) should participate in a solo sport, not a team sport.

here's some suggested solo sports that are sufficiently "douche" for JOC (James O'Connor) - Bowling, Burn out contests. professional Call of Duty tournament, UFC

.....please let it be UFC.

But seriously would love to see JOC (James O'Connor) play for the Reds but agree it must be for the right reasons

Billy Slater can not pass a footy and would never play 6, K would more than likely play there.

Not sure what to make of it, or his career path. Seems very strange, but he is obviously a hell of an athlete and worker. My only concern would be, that if he is going to take the marquee spot he had want to be the best talent available.

Hasn't EOD been occupying the marquee spot in recent years? Hayden would probably be an upgrade from EOD the way he has played this season.

Hayden gets along alright and wouldn't be a bad signing but that sentiment is strongly boosted by our pretty severe lack of locks behind Kev/Simmons, or anything resembling an enforcer at all.

He's getting right into his "prime" age as a lock so would definitely be a good stop-gap signing until we develop our next generation of specialist locks.

Yeah, if that is the case I'm not sure that it would be a great signing. I think McDuling should see time at lock hopefully before the end of the season. EOD was taking up that marquee spot when we essentially didn't need it filled, with him still on the roster as a local we should consider our marquee spot very carefully in my opinion. Daniel Braid was one of the best signings we ever had.

Yeah I'm feeling pretty much the same way because of his age. If he was closer to 25-26 I'd be all about bringing him over because he's a good player (if not spectacular) and would give us a 4th lock that isn't over 30 and isn't a 5/6 hybrid but would be a specialist lock instead.

Fortunately, Kev and Simmons are young enough to counter how old EOD is.

I'd rather see us use the marquee spot on someone like that Georgian prop was was playing for Perpginan this season, as a few others have seemed keen on a swell.

Chances are we will be able to dig up a big bopper or two from the South Pacific, a dominant scrummager on the other hand..

Shit, can Taumololo scrummage on the tighthead side? Would help shore up the scrum and give us another ball-carrying option as well.
