Aside from his bombed try, Harris ran some good lines.
I haven't seen anything from Tapuai to warrant starting selection.
Don't get me wrong, I think Harris is good and will never let the team down, but Taps is and always will be a 12. His best football has been at 12, and his best football will be at 12.
Taps is not a 13, and not picking him at 12 based on his form at 13 is some kind of flawed logic.
Harris is the perfect bench player due to varied positions he covers, and is able to play a lot of positions at super rugby level - something others (like Taps) simply cannot do.
Tbh, if Toua doesn't work out as hoped, then Harris at fullback and reversion to the old "QC (Quade Cooper) at fullback in defence" switheroo will do me fine. Harris didn't let the wallabies down back there and he won't let the reds down either.
I just don't know what to make of Toua. Anyone can see that he has potential, but then so do some of the rookies to reds kiddies that run around at half time whose ball security % is about the same :S. Anytime the ball goes near him, I fear I am about to go into cardiac arrest just thinking about what shit is about to go down (good or bad). I can only imagine what the other players must be thinking.
