So who is expected back for the semi's? Looks like Slipper is out but Simmons will be ok. Is Robinson, Lucas and Anthony Fainga'a expected back?

Daley, Saia, Holmes, Simmons, Horwill, Higginbotham, Gill/Robinson, Shatz, Genia, Quade, Ioane, Harris, Chambers/Fainga'a, Davies, Lance/Lucas

Slipper is a big loss but Holmes will cover what he offers well. That raises the question of the bench prop. Shepherdson has far from impressed me from what I have seen this year. How has Albert Anea been going?

Where do you figure Morahan fits in the equation, considering him on my fantasy team that's all..

I heard he wasn't expected to return for the Reds

Also, Ruggo, I agree Shepherdson has been average when he's played. If Anae can play both sides of the scrum I say pick him on the bench.

..... It's a bloody tough one. Shep has looked woeful, but Albert has only had one game and has been training and playing at hooker all season.

Well done 2011 Reds. Thoroughly deserve the minor premiership and showed some pure brilliance through the year.

They've come a long way from this.

Are you by chance politely referring to the progress slowly but surely made during 2011 in a certain x-factor player's defensive capabilities?

On that day, they perpetuated the underdog status of the Reds. These days, in some respects, they're top dogs.

Not in defense, though, you're absolutely right RH ;)

Well done Reds. Time to beat the next hoodoo. Actually winning a Super Rugby Semi-final. Currently 0 from 3 (I think). Go the Reds!

From a few news reports/articles I've read in the past day or two, it looks like Ioane and Robinson are certain starters. Anthony Fainga'a says he should be good, but isn't definate. Same story with Mike Harris. But looks like Lucas and Morahan might not make it.

Our side looks signifcantly better with Ioane returning, been possibly the best winger in the comp (since Drew Mitchell got injured).

Not having Lucas will not be ideal. He provides very good last-line-of-defense and can counter attack out of the 22 nicely.

Ioane and Robinson coming back will be great, obviously, but in all honesty of all the players out right now, I'd plump for A. Finger as my first choice return.

I was saying the same thing about Ant on Saturday when they had a scrum just out from our half I was praying for Ant to be fit for the semi's I feel a lot more confident with him there. Saying that they still did well to hold them.

Off topic but that article says it will favour the Maroons in origin, probably the opposite after the claims of the Blues more mobile, quicker pack.
