72,500 TV's reported smashed in Brisbane.

-SMH-

A record 72,500 TV's are reported to have been smashed simultaneously in Brisbane tonight. The outburst of violence is believed to have coincided with Reds player Kurevi daftly coughing up the f**king ball with time up on the clock and his team hot on attack.

On the bright side though, half of the crowd - the Japanese half - were unaware what was going on during the climactic nadir as they were busy looking towards the bench wondering when the Queensland Reds jersey salesman was going to make an appearance. He was in fact at home watching an unpixellated pornographical DVD.

Well my take on that. We have used up our get out of jail free card. We looked flat from about 25 min onwards. Reds looked better because they were allowed to play. Any soop team looks good if they are allowed to dictate.

I will take the win but I am really worried about the next two weeks with all the travel and the boys look really cooked.

reds handed the rebels that game. Tough old season for both teams if that is the standard
Agreed. Take the win but worried about the rest off the season. Hoping we can bounce back after the bye when all the real travel is done and many injured return.

Don't despair Rebel fans, they've traveled a long way in two weeks. Always bound to go flat at some point, 25mins in was a bit early, but luckily the Reds are really terrible.

Tuipulotu looks likely. Certainly wasn't a sentimental inclusion, he looks like he belongs at this level.

How good is McMahon. What a beast man.

Sadly for the Reds, I'm not sure you win that even with Gill and Slipper.

That mirrored the Tahs game really. Rebels played for 20 minutes and went home. Reds still not able to win.

It seems to me that every team that has played the Reds over the last two years has the same tactic, kick the ball ball and let them run back as the Reds attack is so lame they are very unlikely to make any ground if the first tackle is made. I have been scratching my head as to why the Reds have such high run metres in every game, but I think that solves the question. While I was still paying attention the Rebels kicked the ball to the Reds and it was run back from the 22 to the halfway on at least 4 occasions.

Apart from that I think the two THPs have been chosen for the June tests, Holmes and Weeks, and McMahon will be the back-up to Hooper as the closest like for like. Apart from that the only player who really stood out for me was the debutante Tuipolotu.

Is Jack D improving? I wonder if his development has stagnated a bit. Thought the game was right there for the taking, but he didn't have the authority to grab it. Where has his running game gone? The sharp tactical kicking?

Plenty of time left in the season to find his stride, but I was a bit disappointed with him tonight. I was hoping he'd be getting to Wallaby standard by now, but he's still a fair way away IMO.

I have heard that Tamati Ellison has a wrist injury. Don't know length of time on sidelines.

Jack's got a rather heavily strapped thigh ATM.

My guess though is that he's worried about leaving the team playmaker less. No Ellison, no Mike, no Hodge, Placid preferred over Hawkins at fullback. And as much as we love Bip, and he's done some decent playmaking covering 10, I think Nic understands playmaking from 9 more than Bip does.

As I keep yammering on about, the bye is the big one. One more win, in an ideal world two, then we should have everyone fit bar Mikey, Sefa and Metch.

only marginally, he still goes missing for long periods and his concentration when kicking waivers, tonight was certainly better than last week. he is a long way from being a test 5/8

Reds are essentially leaderless and rudderless atm. Slipper can't return early enough.

What a stupid idea to bring the team into a huddle when the opposition is lining up a penalty kick for goal, and the ref reminds them that time is on. And to do it twice is just beyond understanding. Imagine for a moment the ball hits the upright and rebounds, the Rebs retrieve it and attack the side of the field where noone is defending. Actually, would have given a lot of us a laugh in what was otherwise a dreary affair.

Then, to top it off, no leadership at the end. A field goal attempt had to be made, and it should have been set up earlier than it was so that if it missed, the Reds would have been favoured with a 22m drop out from which to continue to attack. Enough said.

i seriously thought McIntyre was just running the clock down before dropping the goal, i couldn't believe it when he didn't take a shot.
