I feel as if when players are recruited internationally than there needs to be a transfer fee. But when it’s within a domestic competition then I don’t feel we need a transfer fee

and we have a winner !Even your Captain doesn't want to stay there
Brumbies did that to us with Valetini, so…i don’t mind players moving about, but if Rebels are approaching players who are signed already and encouraging them to break contract. Then that’s an issue.

The transfer fee only applies to players under contract.Super interesting to read, Reg, thanks for sharing.
I wonder if the Pacific Island unions get compensation for the development of players?
Maybe complain about the lack of transfer fees in the Reds thread.of course YOU would feel that. Me, on the other hand, feels otherwise.
maybe point out where I was complaining about it here...Maybe complain about the lack of transfer fees in the Reds thread.
You have to know the right people, I guess. No contract signed, but handshake and understanding.Did they?
I can't find anything to suggest that was ever the case...

Exactly, like Stewart not signing a contract extension with the Reds. Not binding. If the Reds so dearly wanted to keep Stewart I would have expected them to sign him on during the season. It’s like the person deciding they love their partner as they are walking out the door with a packed bag. “Oh, please come back, I actually want you here!”.Ah, so I was correct... it didn't happen.
I dunno, the official media statement on this seems to contradict your theory.Exactly, like Stewart not signing a contract extension with the Reds. Not binding. Will the move to central contracting essentially place Rugby Australia as the relevant home union, negating this sort of nonsense?
What for, the Rebels terminated the contract?Wonder if QLD paid VRU compensation for Hunter Paisami...?
Gees just when I thought the rebels - force thing might have died down. Don’t go there.who cares i'm just hoping we can screw the Force again
(still too soon ?)
