For a moment I thought they were going to make a decision. Nup, just a new Wallabies jersey...

I reckon I'll still end up watching NZ derbies, the quality of rugby there is just too good to pass up, but ordinary Super Rugby games will drop off.

European Rugby is significantly better than the rubbish that the Australian and South African Sides are currently producing, and the Shield will provide enough in person games to satisfy.

But let's just hope it doesn't come to that.

Weren't you there for the Crusaders in 2012
Definitely the best win at home in my view against a team with all the heroes Richie and Dan etc
Actually sat behind Robbie Deans that night and it was pretty funny watching him cheering for the Rebs and yelling at the ref to get Richie to stay on his feet !!

And I'll also throw in the comeback win v the Highlanders in 2013. Never thought that was going to happen.

My top moments.

1. First win. Nothing better.
2. Beating the Crusaders. I went off after snorky's try.
3. Beating the Highlanders in 2013. A win literally pulled from their arse. The post-match interview with Thorn said it all.
4. Beating the horrortahs for the first time at home. Who remembers how the crowd helped bend that final kick?
5. Beating the Cheetahs in 2016 to go top of the OZ conference first the first time.

I was at it, hardest game to go to. Was the first time I did not bring my dad to a game so does not make it one of my most memorable games.

Otherwise would have been up their.

Really did love that Sharks lose in 2011, even though we lost the crowd was very loud at the end.

Got it mate .
My biggest memory of that Sharks game was Ciprianis amazing individual try just after half time . Thought the roof of the place would nearly come off !
What a shame he is such a dick because the boy actually has/had some real talent

He's put together a really solid career in England since them. Pretty well behaved to.

The England set up never did fully trust him again though, but he got some love on that tour of NZ.

Cipriani was not as bad as JOC (James O'Connor)/Beale.

That back line had so much potential and was just poorly managed. With Vuna and Gerrard on the wings. Still infuriates me today.

Cipriani was a bad boy, but we knew what he was like when we signed him. JOC (James O'Connor) / Beale for me were the big disappointments.

People still joke about Danny and his naughty ways, but don't have much nice to say about James and Kurtley.

Don't get me started on those two. Bloody wasted talent down here.

IIRC, and based on old posts from Blues Recovery, they did some naughty things down here. BR, feel free to fill in the blanks.

Danny did put in some really good performances for us as well.
I loved watching him play. Well as much as it it possible to love any namby-pamby skirt wearing back.

JO'C may have been a complete jerk but I'll give him this. At the end of the 2013 season, before that amazing Highlanders game, Platinum members were invited to come and watch the final Captain's Run of the year. Even though by then it was known that his contract wouldn't be renewed, he did the full session, happily posed for photos and chatted with the members (well maybe not happily but he was smiling at least). IIRC, he came on from the bench in that game and played a blinder.

OTOH, KB (Kurtley Beale), having just played a club game and three test matches, was apparently "too sick" to come to Melbourne, put on a suit and sit with his former team mates for the final game. He's lucky he has friends in high places that bloke.

It's a shame Cipriani didn't work out. He struck me as more of a larrikin than a complete dickhead.

I remember one of the games when we were allowed on the field after, Cipriani was walking around in his socks having gave his boots to some kids.

Also was talking to some people in the middle and a English friend of mine was freaking out that to meet him, he heard her and came straight over once he finished with the suits.

I think these are all pretty accurate recollections
Used to amaze me that JOCs team mates would want to hang him for fairly minor breaches of team protocols but would defend Beale to the hilt for behaviour that was appalling and I mean appalling
JOC (James O'Connor) was his own worst enemy as incidents since have shown but he did have an understanding of the value of fans and sponsors
Beale couldn't give a shit about either
