Dear NZ,

Tyrell Lomax is ours. Kindly fuck off.

Sincerely,

Rebels and Wallabies fans.

RISING star Tyrel Lomax has a huge decision to make.

We can reveal that the Melbourne Rebels prop, son of former Kiwis league enforcer John Lomax, has been contacted by the All Blacks to play in New Zealand with a view to turning him into a Test front-rower.
But Lomax was also a bolter for Michael Cheika’s Wallabies camp earlier this month.
The 20-year-old is still eligible for both countries because he has not played for Australia’s secondary senior side, the Wallabies Barbarians who last played against the French Barbarians last November.
Lomax, who is contracted to Melbourne until the end of next season, made his starting Super Rugby debut for the Rebels last weekend in their 9-all draw with the Sharks in Durban and was impressive in the scrum.
At 192cm and 127kg, and with his lineage, it’s no wonder there is a trans-Tasman bidding war for Lomax.

Having attended Wallabies camp, Lomax may have indicated that he is leaning towards Australia.

It was already likely that at least one new prop would get a cap in the test break, Lomax looking pretty bloody likely to be the one.

I strongly doubt the #culturekings (the All Blacks) are in the business of directly contacting fringe Super rugby starters in Aus, even if they are EXTREMELY promising.

I think it would've been a Super team or intermediary saying "this is where a contract with us could take you".

Even from a pragmatic perspective, he's a potential Wallaby pre-WC and a likely Wallaby post-WC. A good manager would tell him to stay put, Rebels or not.

You reckon? I'd say it's far more likely to be a LH.

Come home....

To sit behind AA (who's another young fellow)? Would be a bad call.

If the Rebels fold (and poor taste making that comment BLR, considering many cry bloody murder when people say the same of the Force elsewhere) he should go to the Force or MAYBE the Tahs?

It's Friday, here's another classic Cipriani moment (including THAT dance). Shame he did his hammy - did this end up being his last game for us?

Dom Day signed for Saracens next season.

Off topic, but really?

That's pretty interesting, not from a Day point of view, but from a Sarries.

They're only losing big Jim from their Lock stocks and Skelton is on his way in, plus there were some heavy rumours that they were looking to secure a release from Racing for Nakarawa.

I guess playing Kelly Brown at lock a couple of times would have incentivised them to improve the depth, but damn.

Report on Prem rugby fb page, I also thought it was a strange signing. Guess he needs to secure his future and hos with is good PR anywhere in the UK
