You actually made me laugh in the office just then. awkward but worth it. haha.

Best thing to do in times like these is just laugh at some out the outrageous comments on one particular thread here. Its a combination of infuriating, amusing, etc. When i stop being amused with the conspiracy theorist pathological wisdom, i read the next few comments as if they were satire. Maybe i need to go back to my decision of not looking at that thread, but i get caught in the trap of wanting to know 'what next'.

Agreed.

If you think that thread is bad, go take a look on Twitter of the "WTF is Wrong with Australian Rugby" FB group. Fuck me, it can just get nasty. But, I might just need to apply the satire filter. Or, "How would John Oliver explain this to the world".

Guys, just an observation, but for all we know right now it is a 50/50 split on who goes - WF or us.

Having said that, the WF fans have been working under the assumption for longer than us (pre-injunction and the ARU supposedly back-tracking on a previous promise to Coxy) that it was the WF being boned.

The Force fans are going to leave no possible alternative theory unturned looking for a way to prevent their team being cut. I think we would sympathise with that, given anything is possible out of ARU HQ and we are far from feeling safe.

Let's cut them, and us, some slack. It's not fun losing a team you bleed for.

Anything too OTT will be dealt with by the Mods, ok?

Just a joke given the inflated numbers of WA players that Force fans are touting. A lot of their numbers have some very positive spin.

And does putting this "spin" on social media make any difference anyway?

Correct, it does not.

The fact is, the ARU have their fingers all over the Force's operation, it's not an independent operation like the Rebels. They had a very good idea of the checks and balances before this review began.

Which is why this being pitched as a witch hunt is ridiculous, the ARU knew before the review started before it began because they know where the bodies are buried. The only factors are external ones.

"Where the bodies are buried"
What nonsense, both clubs have had their fair share of financial problems, 18months ago the Rebels were under the ownership of the ARU and the Force were independent, this isn't a hunt for those who have being untoward, if the Force is cuts its because its a marriage of convenience. Another time, another place, and it could very well be the Rebels or Brumbies in the same predicament.

"Where the bodies are buried" is just the turn of phrase I used, and I common one at that. I just meant they have more of an idea of what goes on at the Force because of the ownership model.

The Rebels operate independently. Outside of what they have to disclose and what's on the annual report, the ARU wouldn't know much.
starting to get twitchy,Amirite?:)

I think you may be reading too much into that silliness with that NTT fellow.

I was never for the Force getting scrapped, nor am I overly confident the Rebels will stay. Just because the bloke likes to pretend he's arguing against a one-eyed fan for shits-and-gigs, doesn't mean I am.

I know that doesn't necessarily mean anything but normally in times of uncertainty you hold off employing anyone unless absolutely required. Of course, any interview / offer could have the proviso the position won't be appointed until after the decision has been made on who stays and who goes.

It shows confidence from Coxy. Why should he put his business operations on hold, whilst he waits from ARU to get their collective shit together?

Graphic Design Intern isn't exactly a major hire, guys. Is it even a paid position..?

Not much risk associated with hiring an entry level employee you aren't going to be paying, even if your organization is going to go belly-up tomorrow.

That is very true, but if that is the case, why bother? Recruitment is a lot of time and work. I would be avoiding that even more for something like that.

I'm not sure why this is so hard for some people to understand; Unless Coxy decides to sell his licence, e.g. is given an offer he can't refuse, the Rebels are not going anywhere.

Whatever lawyery stuff or stock option shit is going on in WA, I could care less. Good luck to them, and I'll leave them to fight their fight.

I'm just looking at what protections the Rebels have, and we have a 20 year operating licence, and a vote at the ARU table, which requires a unanimous decision to remove us.

Anything is possible I suppose, but from a legal perspective and massive cost outlay needed from the ARU to remove the Rebels, I am sure there is easier meat to be found elsewhere.

Fuck, I hope I'm right! ;)
