Blair Connor just made the top 14 team of the season. He might fancy his chances of another shot at super rugby. Sam Lane would be a perfect signing to play reserve 10 provided his knee is alright. Allan Fa'alavu should probably get an EPS spot at least being a melbourne lad.

Blair Connor is still under contract with Bordeaux Begles for next season. But it is true that he deserves another Super Rugby shot, like Dane Haylett Petty who now plays in Biarritz.

Sam Lane has apparently signed with the Reds as part of their EPS

The Force had more supporters when they started than the Rebels do when they did. A lot more. See how many supporters you have in 5 years. Don't know how the media coverage issue compares but I fail to see the point of it.

His correct Wilful. Force had 30k or so in their 1st season at Subiaco.

Since moving to NIB that's significantly declined. We currently get more.

Don't know about media coverage hard to tell. It was all Eagles/Dockers when I was over there (in May), partly due to the Derby though.

You know what it's like here. We have 4 "Rugby" journos though.

technically not correct, Force's membership number and average attendance were already in decline when they moved to NIB stadium, the move to NIB actually halted the decline but the on-fied performance this year by the Force has seen crowds fall lower since.

It is what it is

How does the financial viability of the Rebels look today and going forward?
To what degree will they be dependent on private investors to stay afloat?
I wish them every success but what numbers in crowds, sponsorship, revenue etc do they require to remain viable without top ups?

Given they are a private team, its unlikely we will see any annual reports released

He is only 31. So maybe not as far past his use by than expected. I was also quite surprised by his age I thought he would have been much older.
