Queensland Reds 2025

Not directly Reds related, but Reds Chairman Brett Clarke wealth about to skyrocket as a partner in Chemist Warehouse moves closer to its Sigma merger.

Great example of something that's probably not good for society but might have a second order effect benefiting rugby.

Disappointing- but hopefully they’ll at least put up a good highlights package. Not much, but better than nothing.

With the game on the 1st local time do we assume the team will get named Thursday morning?
Yeah, it isn't very pleasant, but a good highlights package would be something at least.
Hopefully, they give us some solid coverage. As for the team announcement, Thursday morning seems like a safe bet with the game on the 1st

Something pretty close to a full strength team to run out against Bristol:

Based on this team - I'm seeing competition for positions between:
Ryan - Murray - Anderson? (one start/one bench)
Brial - Uru (bench spot upon Wrights return)
Smith - Blyth (bench)

Otherwise will we see much change in our best 23 moving forward?

I expect Ryan Smith will start in our best (or at least most) sides this year. He's been a real rock for the Reds, not missing many minutes (or tackles) last year, and his strength is his consistency over the 80.

Yep, and can see either Canham/ LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) or Blyth leaving at years end

it is rather Ironic that our only non wallaby capped lock is the more secure of the four in our squad.

With wright out and smith not starting I'm keen to see who's calling the lineouts

I could see Blyth going mid season to the Tahs. I would suspect he is fifth choice behind LSL (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto) (Lukhan Salakaia-Loto), Canham, Smith, Uru with Vest at 6th
I can't see it mid-season. All it takes it one injury and Blyth is back into the 23.

With Fraser having not direct replacement outside of Wright, we could easily see the backrowers shuffle around like we did last year

Horrendous scheduling really - fuck all players available and a 7:45pm Friday (if I've done my conversions correctly) kickoff in the middle of winter.

Gee, I wonder why they can't sell tickets?
Up against the start of the six nations too.

Makes you wonder what the future is for this kind of tour, The NH teams just play so many games. There's never really a good time
