Khoder is no longer looking like the master manager.
- Mundine dumped him after his fight in the US went pair shaped.
- it's looking increasingly unlikely that SBW will play for the Roosters because of his boxing, the salary cap and the fact that Khoder won't become an accredited player's agent.
- whilst QC (Quade Cooper) was encouraged to back himself and sign a one year contract. Who could have predicted a serious injury whilst playing a contact sport could curtail his next contract? Hmmmmmm

Quade, he may be your mate but I think you're getting poor advice lately from your manager. His star as a manager is beginning to dim. Do you really want to play anywhere else but the Reds?

I don't usually read things from mungodom in much detail and the "signing" of $BW to the roosters was no exception. In the brief glance over something on SMH.com.au. there seemed to be something along the lines that there was an official/formal contract signature Press Conference celebrating that he was now a Rooster.

Yawn...

Agree entirely p. Tah.

High risk strategy which has failed big time.

The irony of course was he was hot property last year and, instead of capitalising on it with a lucrative 3 yr deal, effectively shot himself in the foot.

SBW signed with the Roosters officially last week. He represented himself in signing the deal to bypass the fact that Khoder was not an accredited player's agent.

Surprise surprise
QC (Quade Cooper) announces on ch 9 that he will not sign with ARU, is looking at O/S Rugby.Mungo & Boxing.
Amazing how Boxing has become a bigger farce than wrestling...

Another set of bridges burned by QC (Quade Cooper) ?

I sure hope he has thought through his plan B properly and is not just "looking", but is very close to locking something lucrative and long term in.

Somehow I just think that he is going to be met with an underwhelming level of interest from most of his key target groups if he is still just "looking".

The contract hasn't been signed off by the NRL. Everyone is waiting to see what they do.

Word is there will be a press conference later this week or early next week fronted by Quade and Khoder to say what's going on

Jim Carmichael will look like an absolute idiot if Quade goes when he declared he's certain to play for the Reds in 2013.

Guess he was serious when he said he didn't want to play in YELLOW again.

Rugby is big enough and ugly enough to move on. Not the first "Star" to go with unfulfilled potential. Look at Mark Ella. We got over his loss (eventually) and unearthed Noddy Lynagh a short while later.

A big FU to the ARU right there.

What a sad state of affairs.
I like Quade a lot, but if the report is true that he's thrown a hissy fit then quit I'm disappointed. This was the guy the proclaimed he wanted to back his ability by signing a one year contract because he liked the challenge. You can't back yourself anymore than playing on an incentive based contract. Now I recall he doesn't actually want to play in the jersey.

No, Jim Carmichael remains an excellent sports administrator who was prepared to take Quade at his word - something he noted in his statement.

Congratulations BTW - you got what you wanted.

He's an idiot for promising something to the fans that is out of his hands. He should've said, "Quade at the moment does not have an ARU contract so he will not be in Reds colours until he has one. We cannot guarantee he will be at the Reds next year."
