Silly season is upon us. Hearing George Francis going back to Easts for 2023. And a couple of lower grade front rowers from GPS heading to Brothers where they've been promised 1st Grade jerseys

Looks like Michael Richards and Maile Ngaumo were initially named but didn't feature in a game. Maybe work got in the way, as you'd expect they'd get some minutes...

Ratu Vio was a late call-up by the looks and Floyd was an obvious pick being a contracted player.

Can understand GPS fans feeling like they deserve more presence given they've been a strong performing side for a number of years now. Anyway, doesn't really matter now.

Who's his agent? Or should I say.....was?

The AFA group from what I believe. Don’t want to get into it as I believe there are RUPA appeals ongoing but Francis came out in support of the group a few weeks ago when his agent was officially banned from acting in Australia.

Be interesting who stays with AFA - you would think they would transfer over to another agent within the company until the issues are resolve, people like Sam Wallis who is competing for a Reds contract and Isaac Aedo Kailea at the Rebels have always spoken highly of their dealing with AFA.

George was definitely one of the standout LH in QPR this season, Dammers did a good job in getting him fit - in saying that there has to be a reason as to why he is not progressing to higher honors, he has been part of some high-level camps in the past.

It looks like the AFA directors have all ducked off overseas for an extended European working holiday, which is where majority of their clients are anyway.

I wonder if they'll consider ceasing Australian based operations and instead funnel that Aussie talent more swiftly into the overseas markets. Wait and see.

Curious how this whole agent thing works? My understanding is that a number of pro players are actually managed by league agents without RUPA accreditation.

The reality is an agency really only needs one person who's got RUPA accreditation to handle the contracting side of things, the strings can be pulled by anyone in the organisation.

I know there is a League agent who was banned a few years ago but is well known to be working via his other employees and still owns the company.
