I could see it coming today for BBC. Always seems to be one 'loose' result every year.

Hats off to BSHS, played some good footy with some spirit amongst them.

BOG - BSHS #13, simply dominated. I believe he has been packing down at number 6 until this week. Is that correct?
Yessir

But a Centre until this season and sent back to his old spot in this game

BBC top 3 projection now might be top 5! LOL

Non

Worst case is equal 4th

Best case is equal 3rd

Good to see Terrace looking like they’ll avoid the spoon

Of course they have to get past Woomba at Woomba next week - and they’ve got feed in the trough after a hard fought win over a plucky Grammar Team

Terrace to be training in oxygen masks this week to get acclimated for the trip up the hill next Sat

BSHS won 12A, 13A, 14A, 15A today as well. Maybe the recruitmemt team at BBC should recruit the recruiter from State High. who is it or how do they do it .. well done all teams from both schools . great day of rugby
The recruitment line has been levelled off at U14 - but U14’s fell 7-3 - put up a great effort and will finish in 2nd place so it seems

Nothing much happening downstream at BBC .

Hey now ....hey now

Equal 3rd is top 4. Equal 4th is top 5. Non? Like TSS and Nudgee are equal first but they are top 2.

Despite BBC having their fair share of possession and being the recipient of a lot of penalties but they continually turn it over, knock it on, pass it forward or kick it away. They just don’t have what it takes to win, there is no cohesion amongst forwards in fact hardly recall a forward making a break around the ruck all yearand it seems to be eroding not improving as the season goes on.

Think it’s time for coaching and recruiting changes - where is Kefu I can’t recall seeing him recently?

I reckon you are over thinking it O83

Size schmize. Everyone has sort of kind of been around about the same size level - with the exception of TSS that have had 4 x forwards in their pack that :

A. Have a size advantage
B. Have a talent advantage to go with their size
that
C . Enables them to go medieval on their less talented and smaller match ups

There is no point being 6'6 if your effectiveness is 5'6

The rest of their pack has been modestly sized - even perhaps smaller than their opponent in most match ups , however , attitudinally they play above their size - Luc Lyndon being the back up poster boy ( BGS's Oskar Skerman is the poster boy but does it behind a similarly undersized pack - at least Luc has cover ) Lyndon's try against BBC sort of proves the point with 4 would be defenders falling off him - a few of them big boys at close range too .

Anyway.. without being totally dismissive of game planning ( seems you have a thinly veiled axe to grind here ) Saturday just comes down to a right old rollicking dust up . Who wants it more . It's that simple . On paper - Nudgee have a couple of advantages through the tight 5 - but then again so do BBC , however when you look at the back row - Tautau and Englebrecht , on paper , one would think would play to their status as the proven Senior men.

It is pretty even through the backs to be honest - with maybe an edge to BBC in the back 3 and that is no knock on Dan Atkinson - who has probably been one the most under rated players in GPS Rugby this season or Tresman Banjo - who whilst his own man - has shown he is the same class of a Will Eadie

Nudgee will be as pumped and hard and up for it as John Holmes washing down the Viagra with Red Bull . BBC Forwards just have to keep their head ( and their bum ) down - but then find a way to get on top early

Whoever can achieve and maintain go forward ball will win the match - that - and also remembering you have to earn the right to go wide

GO - looking back on this email I still think BBC coaching is pi55 poor and they keep playing to the backs instead of getting the call out to them after forwards have done their job and drawn players in.

I reckon college will go down by 20 next week based on churchies guts effort today.

Or maybe they just know they don’t have the cattle up front!!

Who was State High captain talking to when he says "You're too pretty to play rugby mate" at 53:20 in Double Take YouTube video?

BBC didn't score another point after that!

State High catchment area must have moved significantly south.
To go to State High you either live in the catchment area or apply for one of the many academic, cultural or sporting scholarships available.

From a rugby point of view if you make one of the U12Met teams and sit an interview you are just about there, doesn’t matter where you live . Can remember a few years ago one of my older boys getting a letter to make us “aware” of possible pathways to State High after playing in a junior rep carnival .
