Langthorne said:He has played flyhalf, but apparently not any more (recruited to play fullback), and even if he is now the preferred flyhalf who will take the spot when he gets injured again?
TOCC said:no need to start jumping up and down just yet, there is still a long recruiting path ahead, interestingly they havent yet signed any kiwi or south african players, something which i expect they will do plenty of in the near future.

Where are the Argentineans? I thought the majority of there national side would be keen to play some Super 14 for when they become a part of the tri-nations

Surely he is on the list as a Rebels Academy target at very least. I get the feeling though if he really wants to go places with rugby he will have to do a TPN switch from 8 to 2.
Rebs need to start showing Vic grassroots loyalty, even if it's just through an academy set-up.

Dunno, but isn't Dane Haylett-Petty the first WA Junior to come through the ranks?

There is a few so far, Tyrell, Haylett-Petty, Turner and a prop (his name escapes me). Also there was a guy at the start of the Force who was Western Australian and has been playing with the Reds.
