Yes, Auggies are a top team in the state, but don’t count out Oakhill too early. I was at the Oakhill/Shore game, and if some refereeing decisions and ball bounces had gone Oakhill's way, the score could have been much more tight. In the Joey's 2s match, the scoreline didn't reflect the game. Oakhill dropped the ball over the line in the wet conditions, missing out on numerous tries, while also trying to execute a gameplan that didn't quite suit the day's conditions.

Auggies, playing at home, should be favourites, but Oakhill is more than capable of pulling off a tough win. Additionally, Auggies beat a weakened Joey's team without key players like Justice. Again, as Soupnasty mentioned, Auggies were advantaged as Shore took their 1sts off at halftime (HT: Shore 10-7 Auggies) and then suffered a questionable red card.

Anyway it's all talk until the real deal. May the Rugby Gods give us a belter of a game.

On another note I've heard Blank has broken his wrist. If true, he will be out for the rest of the season you'd assume.

Although Joe Walsh was absent for that game, you'd think one player at his level of footy can't make that much of a difference. Now that Blank is presumably ruled out for the Oakhill fixture, Auggies could face a similar issue as they did against Knox. Additionally, I hear their star hooker, Riley Osborn is also injured and likely to miss the Oakhill game.

Another fixture worth mentioning is the Waverly game. Auggies barely secured a win with points after the siren to get them over Waverly 26-24, whereas Oakhill won decisively 19-5. Many people seem to be underestimating the upcoming game at Rat Park next weekend. Auggies are favored to lift the shield at $1.08, while Oakhill stands at $2.96. If Oakhill can keep it a low-scoring game, I strongly believe they can emerge victorious. I’m really looking forward to this match, it might just be one of the best Oakhill and Auggies games in history.

It seems to be Augustine’s vs the world! I guess that’s what happens when you’ve got a target on your back. My sources tell me Osbourne will play however as you say Blank will not. Auggies thrive in the big crowds seen at Oakhill last year and Joeys this year and I’m sure the Northern Beaches will be flocking to Rat Park for this one. All in all Auggies will be excited to welcome Oakhill to Narrabeen next Saturday! Good luck to both teams.

it is good for ISA rugby if people go out to support and crowds are at a level comparable or better than CAS and some GPS fixtures as it will strenthening the resolve of younger players to aspire to reaching the top of their schools potential. The Joeys v View , Barker Knox fixtures have special places in the repective competitions that ISA has traditionally not been exposed to.

The Pius game may not be a great reflection, Auggies were missing the majority of their starting team in their 2,6,8,9,12,15 .
If we want to go back and compare to prior scores let’s not forget, Oakhill beat Joeys 2s only by 2 points, on the same day Auggies downed Joeys 1s and had beaten Joeys 2s by 25 only weeks prior. Further, Shore beat Oakhill by 40-0, Auggies beat shore, at their home just last weekend.
Oakhill will especially want to bounce back against the exact same Auggies team from last year when they Auggies absolutely took them apart on Oakhills home turf. Auggies have not lost a single game this year, personally I can’t see Oakhill being the one to do it to them. This becomes an even tougher assignment when they travel to Narrabeen against this undefeated Auggies team.
You’ll notice the majority of my message is just plain facts. Good luck to Oakhill, let’s hope they can provide an entertaining game, in which this fixture always is!

Although I'm rather invested in this upcoming fixture next week between both Auggies and Oakhill. I have noticed people have shyed away from the fixtures taking place this Saturday. With Oakhill versing Kinross and Auggies versing Gregs, I am very excited to see how these games go.
Oakhill V Kinross
With Oakhill being 2-0 in the comp so far and Kinross not having even played a game. In most eyes the dice will roll in Oakhill's direction. But don't count out the boys from O-town. With an impressive pre-season going 4-1 against Cranbrook,Trinity, Alo's and TAS. These boys look dangerous. I had the privilege to see there game against Cranbrook and I was not disappointed. With the prediction of Cranbrook leaving with the chocolates, Kinross said otherwise with a scoreline of 33-26. Notably the hooker/captain for kinross (Arguably the best player) wasn't even suited up for the game. On another note shoutout to Kinross's number 7 for being selected for the Australian Schoolboys Team. Incredible milestone especially since coming from a rural area. With the loss of their captain and glue of the team Joe Harvey. I still believe Oakhill will not look out of place and possible even smoother with this change in the backline. The back 3 for Oak are dangerous and capitalize on any opportunity given. Their forward pack is strong and exceptional in the line out department.

With Oakhill travelling 4 hours down to Orange to play in the cold, it will be a tough fixture for Oakhill. They will have to adapt and play smart. Despite this I believe Kinross will come out on top in a monumental upset. Don't get me wrong Oakhill are a strong team and will obviously stick in to these boys. But with how Kinross is playing this season and having home ground advantage. I believe the melon will roll in Kinross Direction

Big new Coming out of the Oakhill Camp is that veteran #7 Ryan Scott has gotten the Captaincy this week against Kinross. Dubbed as a 'Blue-Chip' Player, Mr Scott is not necessarily the biggest, fastest, tallest, smartest, attractive, charismatic, funny, confident, skilful, flexible, socially aware, tactically aware, academically aware, focused, adaptable, powerful or aesthetic, He has a heart bigger than an African Elephant.

I wish the new In Game Leader (IGL) great luck and hopefully he can take some tips from his close mate who was able to lead the under Oakhill 1st XI Cricket to an 'underdog' premiership.

That's the great thing about rugby - you don't have to be attractive, academically aware, charismatic or tall - you just have to have that dawg, and Mr. Scott does. Apparently, the kid doesn't even speak, he just barks...?. Hopefully, he'll ask his Cricketing best mate for some pointers on how to handle the dodgy country refs

I think @Choptackle underestimates Oakhill and over-glorifies Auggies. Oakhill beat Waverley much more convincingly and much more dominantly than Auggies did. The same happened with Knox, Auggies scrape, and Oakhill dominate.

So tell me, what went wrong with those Waverley and Knox games?

I understand that Auggies are unbeaten, and they are admittedly and most likely one of the best teams in Aus, (their win against Joeys testifies this). But I fear you have written off Oakhill too early, they are out for Auggies. And if they continue that form of scraping over Pius, and then to go against a team that knew they had to build up to this challenge all year, it will make their record look not so pretty.

But a good team wins fights. A great team doesn't even let their opponent enter the ring.

Understandably so the Oakhill V Auggies fixture will be massive especially on an Auggies Gala day but would like to mention the final round of the season. Pats V Auggies at Pittwater. Auggies certainly clear favourites as size comparison and talent from Auggies most likely will not be matched. Although this may be a tough day out for pats as a whole it will be the final schoolboy rugby game for the likes of Blank Conti Walsh and Woods arguably a couple of the best to ever play in the ISA.

Exactly right BR. While Auggies have been under-manned in recent weeks, this doesn't give them any excuses. However, a win is a win (no matter how scrappy it may be). It has also come to my attention that Oakhill inside-centre Joe Harvey has broken both arms and legs and is in a fully body cast. I hope he recovers in time for the AUGvOAK match up and I feel only he can give the Auggies backline a taste of their own medicine. BR and I will be keeping a close eye across all 1xv matches this weekend as recent injuries to key representative players has left opportunities for some fresh meat to take centre stage. Goodluck all!

I can confirm that Sam Blank has broken the growth plate in his wrist after a huge collision early in the 1st half against St pius on Tuesday. I watched the collision and straight away it was clear he was in agony. After speaking to sources there is a potential chance he will be back for the last game of the season. Very unfortunate for the young gun as he was just selected in the Australia U18 side.
