Whys that, CIS and ISA don't cross over
Walsh wasn’t named in the CIS League Squad anyways.

Walsh is in the PONI Waratahs Squad and is ineligible to make the Schools teams, therefore is automatically in the Gen Blue Team(s).

He is ineligible to play Schools 1 or 2 however not ISA 1 or 2.
It isn't a PONI Waratahs squad its the whole country. Players of National Interest
And there is no Gen blue teams to make this year they are already done.

If there’s no Gen Blue, and he can’t play Schools, and is already selected in the National PONI Squad then I can’t see him playing ISA if there’s no further opportunity for him. Not worth an injury risk either.

If he isn’t playing ISA Conti 100% should get the nod.

No surprises at the trials today.

The boys from Auggies and Oakhill were for the most part a level above the rest. Stannies and Greg’s showcased several promising players, while Kinross, Pius, and Pats each had a few noteworthy talents.

There will be only two 23-man teams, and I imagine both will be made up of the majority of the two Top Dawg schools.

Some player news:
- Conti (Pats) and Brennan (Augustines) didn’t trial today but should still get picked.

- Auggies halfback Sam Blank was at trials but no signs of Mitch Woods or Joe Walsh.

The games were fairly scrappy as you'd expect with little to no cohesion between the players from different schools, with nothing majorly exciting to report.

Do you know how there A’s teams have gone thru 13s to 16s or if any in particular are strong
13As have been going well with only 2 or 3 losses i believe so far to Riverview, Joeys, and 1 narrow loss to waverley. Could be wrong here.

14As are quite strong with only 1 loss i believe to Riverview as well as joeys.

15As looking in very good shape under coaching of Director of rugby at Auggies Geoffery webster. They have 1 loss so far I believe to be a 1 point loss to riverview.

16As have looked good all year not sure how theyre results have been I did happen to hear that they managed to get over quite well against the Aloys 1st XV side at a training camp earlier in the year.

Not sure on all of these as i dont follow the younger ages as much as I used to

ISA 2024 trials looked good today. Should be able to manage to put together a competitive team from what I saw. Obviously players like Walsh and Woods 's absence will have a big hole to fill but I think Conti should be able to. Would love to see a genuinely competitive ISA side this year
Some locked in players in my eyes:
2. Luke Muriti
4. Alloggia
7. Charlie Blank
9. Sam Blank
10. Alex Conti
11. Preston Smallwood
13. Holmes
14. McCracken

Shame injuries prevented some boys from trialing. I was really liking the look of the Greg's 8 and 9 who both haven't played for a few weeks.

From what I saw, I think Berryman (Augustines) slots in at Fullback and Harvey (Oakhill) slides into the centres to round out the backline.

Sorry FL, the list I had been provided had no positions on it. I'm only aware of the positions of the Oakhill boys and some of the positions of the Augustine's boys.

What is this squad?
How do they get into the teams?
That's the 46-man squad.

I presume the teams would have already been selected, however, selectors might take into account the first couple of ISA competition games if there's real tight competition for a spot.

This squad will then get split into two 23-man teams (ISA 1 & ISA 2), on the day of their camp - the 26th of June.

ISA 1 will be the stronger team of the 2, however, both teams will play in the tournament against the other association's teams on the 27th and 28th of June.

Personally I think Walsh is just too good at game managing, kicking and i think he is just better at 10 than 12,
I think you put Harvey at 12

1. Galluzzo
2. Osbourne / Muriti
3. Carruthers
4. Alloggia
5.?
6.?
7. Blank (C)
8. Polley / Rylands
9. Blank
10. Walsh
11. Berryman
12. Harvey
13. Holmes
14. McCracken
15. Woods
What a shame Joe Walsh and Mitchell Woods aren’t included….
Woods is playing Bulldogs Under 21 now
