The underarm incident was 30 years ago and the Kiwis still haven't gotten over it.

It really doesn't take much for a Trans Tasman incident. For such a tough bunch of people, they're very sensitive.

Not entriely on topic, but I quite liked this.

Pity about the ending.

Did this up in five minutes for some amusement value - no harm intended

I've been to games that I'll never forget
From collingwoods horrors, to the proteas regret
But no matter how far or how wide I roam,
Nothing will beat hearing the all blacks moan

I'm always trav'lin',
And I love watching sport
And so I keep leaving for this rugby resort
But my black heart lies waiting — over the foam.
It still calls Australia home.

All the all black fans spinning 'round the world,
Away from their families and friends,
But as that one title gets older and colder and colder,
It's good to know your journey doesn't end.

But someday we'll all be together once more,
When all of the cups come back to our shores,
But I realize something I've always known,
The cup still calls Australia home.

no matter how far or how wide It goes,
It still calls Australia, It still calls Australia,
It still calls Australia home.

Whilst I would enjoy having Waltzing Matilda sung over the Haka (which would be awesome), I don't think it'll happen.

So can't we just stick to the usuall "FUCK OFF YOU KIWI C**T'S!" that occurs at most games hahaha

I like the idea of just chanting CHEATS CHEATS CHEATS during the haka.

And if the fleewee next to you starts giving you shit about it tell him to stop being precious and be thankful that this months dole check covered the cost of a bledisode ticket, bro.

If you want to do it, I reckon it would work better as a response to the haka. As soon as the haka finishes have a crack, and have a crack loud. That is when the Aussies normally go back to a huddle to compose themselves, but imagine the lift with a spontaneously sung supporter song.

Most likely to work is waltzing matilda, as almost all have done it before at the rugby.

IMO this is the only way it will work with most of the people (who are willing) on the same page. With a flyer;

Aussie response to the Haka
let the wallabies hear your support

Haka, respectful golf clap,
then Chorus (to get everyone together), Verse, Chorus (rousing finale)

Waltzing Matilda, Waltzing Matilda,
You'll come a Waltzing Matilda with me,
And he sang as he watched and waited till his billy boil
You'll come a Waltzing Matilda with me.

Once a jolly swagman camped by a billabong,
Under the shade of a Coolibah tree,
And he sang as he watched and waited till his billy boil,
You'll come a Waltzing Matilda with me.

Waltzing Matilda, Waltzing Matilda,
You'll come a Waltzing Matilda with me,
And he sang as he watched and waited till his billy boil
You'll come a Waltzing Matilda with me.

Soooo.. after all this thread, comments, tanties in some cases "too far tony" comments (bowside, looking at you)... what is the result?

If I see any less than about 50 banners along the lines of "Root for the Wallabies", I will be a bit disappointed.

All the best folks.
