McCutcheon has already been in the Aus training group, Robbie Coleman would be another guy I would give a go
Yeah, I'd like to see more of Coleman. Also Morahan and Stannard could easily tour.

Oz Sevens has done well since the "season" started last December, but this squad is missing some fine players.
Ed Quirk, Jacob Taylor, Clinton Sills, Henry Vanderglas and Ed Stubbs were mentioned last week as not available because of injury. Brackin Karauria-Henry and Richard Kingi can't play for Oz because they have NZ passports and Comm. Games eligibility is more stringent than for the IRB Sevens.
All Sevens teams need at least one flyer and a couple of fast strong backrowers to play in the 3 men scrums.
In these respects Sills, Quirk and especially Vanderglass (who was born to be a Sevens forward) will be sorely missed.
Nick Cummins could find himself packing down in the scrums.

Agreed. And I hope every nation takes it as seriously. If they do, and i'm sure the players will want to if there are medals up for grabs, it could be absolutely incredible. Just imagine a sevens tournament where every nation puts their seven best players on the field

There would be barely any of the current top XV that would be great at Sevens. I'd probably have Beale, Turner and Ioane only. Cooper would be worth a try too.
JOC (James O'Connor) would go ok in 7's
I still wouldn't be picking them in a top 7s team right now. They'd have to dedicate to at least 3 months of 7s specific training first.
Considering the timing of the Olympics (the year after the next RWC), we may have a few players hang on to compete at the Olympics, but if we are serious about winning a gold medal, then any player who wants to be part of the sevens team needs to be playing Sevens from the end of the S15 comp and rule themselves out of 3N or other test matches. Actually it is likely the Olympics will be around August, so they are also likely to rule themselves out of some of the S15 as well.
It will be interesting to see how the ARU approaches the contracts of the proposed 7s players.
