Whats the go on C.Clarke and N.Cottee? Knox are strong enough as is, but with those two back in the frame..goodluck to anyone else.

2nd's competition is already shaping up to be more enticing than the predictable 1's....the question is which school has the depth?

cottee will be back next week for trinity game
clark has a while to go

cranbrook 2s are a solid side, poor against knox but should have gotten away with a 10-3 win against trinity, but their management staff would not let them be beaten by cranbrook and put on 4 fresh sets of legs with ten minutes to go. However after a much needed meeting between their sports masters they agreed to play by the rules and swore never to put 16 As players on again (especially in the last few minutes)

So did Trinity lose their points for cheating?

Not in the spirit of the game to put 16s on when they are only allowed on in 1st XV... But at the end of the day there isn't actually an official premiership competition for the 2nd XV so who cares.

the 15 boys who train hard every week

Fair call but i didn't mean it like that. Everyone always goes on about winning a premiership whether its 13As or 1st XV but the truth is in CAS there is only a trophy for the 1st XV comp and in the GPS for 1s and 2s. Effectively no other grades matter - i.e. they are only playing for pride. Used to really annoy me to hear boys and coaches alike in junior teams saying "we're playing for the premiership this weekend".

Cranbrook vs Aloys:
1st XV: 27-20 to Aloys
2nd XV: 24-12 to Cranbrook
Both well fought games, both referees average as usual affecting both sides equally as much.
Cranbrook 2nds lost their 8 in the early minutes of the second half to a badly broken jaw, and fired the brook side up. Aloys, lacking such motivation, were beat on motivation and enthusiasm.
In the 1st XV, Aloy's star 7 allowed them to make breaks and put Cranbrook on the back foot for the entire first half. Down 17-6 at the break, Cranbrook fought back hard decreasing the deficit to 22-20 Aloys' way. A poorly chased kick led to a 60 metre Aloys try late in the 2nd half. Although both teams deserved the win based on effort, Aloys were the better team this time around.

the 8 who got hurt is a champ player and the team will greatly miss him........... the motivation to lift the team to the win came from the 2 from cranbrook, from the sideline it was clear that he lifted the morale and really fired the boys up

Jeez... Having seen Waverley play and know how much they rely on the blokes listed above that is a great effort by them. Did they play that well or were Knox that bad? That win by Waverley will throw the comp wide open if Knox can beat Trinity.

Cranbrook vs Aloys:
1st XV: 27-20 to Aloys
2nd XV: 24-12 to Cranbrook
Both well fought games
standout players for 2s was the cranbrook 11, who scored 2 tries with his great lines and good speed
for the 1s the aloys 7 and 10 had good games and for brook the 2 and 6 played well
brook were unlucky in the firsts with their 9 suffering from sever cramps leading to the game sealing try

who is rogers anyway. No one has seen him play.

Ill guarentee you that when Knox and Waverley are full strength Trinity will find it hard to win. This competition is about winning away games and just because Trinity have had a good start theres a long way to go. No doubt their favourites but Trinity have struggled to beat Knox, Waverley and even Aloys away from Summer Hill so be cautious.
